  4. Johan, Oh yeah, I was looking so close at the carving I didn't notice the stitching. Boy, you're asking the wrong guy about pricing. I give most of my stuff away as gifts. Others on here can tell you much better than I can. They make a living at this art. Art
  5. Looks good. I like 'em. I like your choices of color. Are you going to sew them or lace them? Art
  6. Beautiful - extremely beautiful work. Art
  7. Well my workbench is two old oak bank desks from the 50s. On top of that is 3/4" plywood and on top of that is 1/4" Masonite. I cut out down to the desk so the base it the desk top. Art
  8. I've never heard of steer tripping until today. I've never seen it at any rodeos that I've been to. I looked it up on Youtube. I'm glad I never saw it in person. I love to watch roping but this looks way to rough on the steers for my taste. I can see why he needs a tough tree. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avUalKCAg-A...feature=related Art

  13. I haven't bought any yet Ed. When my dad dies he had some in his stuff that I got. I almost threw it away and I'm now glad I didn't. The man that taught me used felt scrap he had left over from making saddle pads. I don't know where he got that though. Art
  14. I use the Nitrile gloves when I dye the leather (well sometimes). I get mine when they're on sale at Harbor Freight. Art
  15. I hope you're ready to pay big bucks. I wanted one too but not at that price. Not that I'm saying it's not worth it but it isn't worth it to me for $500-$700. Art
  16. That stinks to say the least. Do you have a whip in the shop? Use it on him! Can we see a picture of it? Art
  17. Thanks. I like how it turned out. This is the first time I'm tried putting a design on metal like that. I need a lot more practice but it still looks better than plain. Art
  18. It looks great! Art
  19. Her is another one I finished tonight. I found that the other style was not very practical on horseback. This one has a magnetic closure. I cut a piece of SS and used a dremmel tool to etch a design into it and riveted it to the front. Then I put two very small but strong magnets under the tip and covered with a piece of thin leather. I made the metal strip a little longer so if he buys longer cigars it will still snap shut. I also made this one to hold 5 small cigars. They come 5 to a box so I thought what the heck. Made this for a friend's birthday. The new burnisher that I made worked great on this! Art
  20. LMAO I'm sending this on to my riding friends! Thanks, Art
  21. That is awesome David. I'd hate to sit on it. I'd hang it up on the wall. Art
  22. HP, Here is the felt I use to edge. Art
