  1. Beautiful work. She will love it. Cheryl
  2. Wouldn't do it without paypal to protect me, sorry. Just saying......Cheryl
  3. I can't tell for sure from your pictures but I imagine the tops were glued then sewn on. I took a pair and cut the down and did a round braid around the top. You could always make a smaller braid like a 'bridge' between the shoe and top.
  4. Thanks for the info, Cheryl

    beautiful job, Cheryl
  6. Eccho I've been thinking about what you said and came up with a couple more ideas. One's craigslist and here we have a thing called freecycle and I just sent a 'wanted' post out to the members. Perhaps you have something like that in your area. Mine is a group on Yahoo and they have tons of groups. I hope this helps. Cheryl
  7. I know these 'helpful' organizations are getting out of hand. The one here goes online and finds out what the going price is for something and that's what they charge. I found these on ebay for I think 12.00. If you check out ebay you can find nice ones cheap. I DIDN'T buy a pair of lizard skin today and I'm still kicking myself. ust don't settle. You'll see a lot of them, Dan what's his face, etc on there for 150.00. ust keep looking. If you spent 15 minutes looking a day I'm sure you'd find some nice ones. Cheryl
  8. Beautiful bag, Cheryl
  9. I bought these boots on ebay to make boot purses out of the tops. I sent them to a friend of mine to cut the tops off. When I got them I realized they FIT me and it was too late to make them full length boots again, so I came up with this last night so I can wear them. The one that's finished looks really good in person. Pics just don't do it justice. Comments welcome. Cheryl

  12. Allan I think it looks great! Cheryl
  13. CM I think you did a beautiful job. The tooling, backgrounding and sewing are really good and the flowers are very attractive. Cheryl
  14. If I was doing it I would run the end of the thread out the middle of the two straps after sewing it several times through the hole and around the edge. I certainly hope you're going to shoot for better sewing on the bottom than this company did. Cheryl
  15. Mikey, beautiful job. Cheryl
  16. Ray I'm so sorry to see this. Cheryl
  17. It's called a night latch. You make three slits in your leather (or 15 if you want, depending on how long you want it to continue) and pull the long end of the leather through the first slit and going through on the same side on all of them, do the same on 2 and 3. It shows both sides of the leather that way. Cheryl
  18. Congrats Steve!!!! Cheryl, proud Cobra 4 owner
  19. Jake another thing is you have to add meta tags to your heading so the search engines can find you. I used to have a tutorial on how to do that but have lost it over time but I think you should be able to find plenty some on the net. They have to be coded a certain way but the tags are easy, like for you they would be holsters, belts, leather etc. which makes you site pop up when people look for those things. Never mind I found another one someone gave me LOL. And you can find this info at http://www.htmlgoodies.com this is an example for what one would look like. This goes between the <head> and <head> tags. <head> <meta name="keywords" content="riding gear, tack, horse tack, conchos, made in USA, hand crafted, bridles, reins" /> </head> Sylvia found this for me last year when I was working on mine. and also recommended this..... It's a good idea to put a few misspelled keywords too. A lot of people these days are clueless when it comes to spelling. They may use rains, reigns, raynes, ranes halters, haulters, holters ... etc. In fact that's how I found so many diamonds online way back when. I saw. Dimons,Dymond, Daimond, Diamon, all misspelled. Ebay fixes the mistakes for you now... but back then they didn't Hope this helps because without these tags people can't find you. Cheryl
  20. Jake, someone recommended hostgator to me too, i just forgot until it was mentioned here. Cheryl
