The Norisbank is just an advertisement link for a credit "Jetzt oder nie" is part of the advertisement - this has nothing to do with the seller. He accepts bank transfer. But since Norway is not in the EU I can´t tell you how it is working. Usually inside the EU you send the payment by Banktransfer with IBAN + BIC and that takes just 1 or 2 days. The prices are very okay considering that the parts are no longer made and you are buying original Singer accessories. Usually a single presser feet from China is about 40€ and thats just the plain left toe foot. I wouldn´t ask him anything because I know the parts he is seelling. You of course have to decide if you can use the parts or not. You should ask him if he accepts bids from outside Germany and if he will ship internationally. Just try it in English.

uuuuh - impressive price and it is even motorized. But be aware that you are importing this machine directly from China. This is more or less a clone of the 29K71 it only seems to have a stitch adjuster of an earlier model everything else looks like a 29K71.

If one of you is looking for some 45K accessories check this Ebay seller in Germany: http://www.ebay.de/itm/sattlernahmaschine-Originalzubehorteile-fur-die-Singer-45K-Zubehorteile-/261916453852?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item3cfb6febdc But before you place an intl. bid contact him first. I have no use for the parts so I thought they could be usefull for someone else.

Very Old Singer "patcher". Help...
Constabulary replied to Skaukraft's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Well, I doubt it will sew 8mm sole leather. Maybe with a thin needle and a thin thread but thats not what you want when you are sewing 8mm sole leather. When this machine is based on a Singer 17K I think it is designed for about 4mm - 6mm max. but rather for soft leather and not for very hard sole leather. -
The most common patchers you can find in used condition are the Singer 29K and the Adler 30. Both have several subclasses with slightly different features and / or technical differences. But there are too many subclasses to mention them all. There are of course several other brands but most of them are discontinued and / or you will have a hard time finding parts for reasonable prices. I also have been looking for a patcher for quite a long time. For me it was important that it has a short arm and that I can find parts for them w/o making phone calls all over the world. So I had to choose between Singer and Adler but the short arms are harder to find on my side of the pond. I have been looking for an Adler 30-15 first but never found one for a reasonable price. So I ended with a Singer 29K71 and I´m more than pleased with it. The machine was cheap but I had to restore it from the core but it was worth every cent. In case you are buying a used Adler patcher parts will cost you an arm and a leg (in case you will need some). F.i. a needle bar for the Singer 29K71 is about $40 and a needle bar for an Adler 30 is about $360 (but depends on exchange rate and where you will buy it) - thats totally nuts! If you are buying a used patcher always test sew them and I would not buy one of these machines if the stitch length is shorter than 4mm (approx 6 SPI). But it of course depends on the price and condition - when the machine is cheap and you like to restore them - why not. This still could be a good deal. When new they produce 5mm stitches (5SPI) when adjusted to the longest stitch length. So when they produce stitches shorter tan 4mm you can be quite sure that some of the internal parts are worn and in case of an Adler patcher parts will cost a lot of money. My personal recommendation for a used patcher is the Singer 29K71, 29K71 or 29K73. Why - because parts are available for reasonable prices from most known dealers and even on Ebay. The 3 mentioned are the latest models Singer made but they are also discontinued. But they are now built in China and are sold under different brand names (see links above). So parts will be available almost for ever I´d say and I think thats a good reason for a used Singer patcher with a K71, K72 or K73 subclass. There are also some other older Singer patchers that can use the parts of the later models but thats a trial and error. I have to admit that I´m a bit Singer crazy but thats because the unbelievable availability of new parts even for machines that were built in the 1930´s (yes the 1930´s!!!). For me sustainability is important and I like the idea of keeping old machine working and yet I´m on the right track with this. All used machines I have restored are working very well - but thats a different story. The advantage of a new machine is that they will work out of the box (most of the times) and you don´t have to spend time for replacing parts or even restoring it. The advantage of a used machines is the much lower price but you probably have to replace some worn or missing parts. Patchers are very simple machine and when you can repair a bicycle then you can repair a patcher too. Personally I prefer used machines! Juts my 2 cents.

Very Old Singer "patcher". Help...

Is it possible that the 34K11 is a subclass with a 45K top and the other subclass have a 17K top? Not sure.... -
Very Old Singer "patcher". Help...
Constabulary replied to Skaukraft's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
So am I on the wrong track? To me the machine in the 1st post looks more like a Sinker 17K than a 45K top or is the machine not a 34K? -
Very Old Singer "patcher". Help...
Constabulary replied to Skaukraft's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I forgot to mention that this is a Singer 34 or 34K. You should find them in the ISMACS Comprehensive class list. But this for sure is not a sail maker machine. I´d rather say a light duty machine for the shoe industries. -

This is not a 45K based machine this is more a Singer 17 based machine I would say. Not a heavy duty machine. -
Needle For Strobel Fur Sewing Machine
Constabulary replied to alexitbe's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Ha ha - thats true... Pfaff 38´s are nice - there are at least 2 slightly different models with different zig zag adjusters as far as I know. The later type has the same adjuster like the Pfaff 138 + 238. The zig zag adjusters are often clogged up or gummed. But they brake free when you apply heat with a heat gun and soak them with WD40. Pfaff 38 and 138 pop up on Ebay fairly cheap sometimes -

Should Pfaff 335 Have A Needle Bar Thread Guide?
Constabulary replied to DrmCa's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I think Glenn meant the thread guide of the Singer 111 needle bar. Like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Singer111-Consew-225Needle-Bar-Thread-Guide-240499-2pcs-/270478405527?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ef9c4ef97 Another idea would be the Singer thread cutter, it slides over the needle bar and you can use it as a thread guide. I don´t know if these are different types for different diameter needle bars but this would be an easy fix. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SINGER-SEWING-MACHINE-221-FEATHERWEIGHT-THREAD-CUTTER-SIMANCO-/361176831515?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5417d1161b -

Do I Have A "complete" Busm / Pearson #6 - Or What?
Constabulary replied to Constabulary's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I have removed the original clutch system since it is not complete so this no longer is an option. Sure, the clutch of a clutch motor disconnects but servos have no clutch. I worry that the huge + heavy wheel on the back of the machine stand would probably kill the servo. So leaving it out and adding a speed reducer and / or adding larger pulley on the main shaft is the better option I think. I noticed some Luberto´s had nice large pulleys. BTW - have you received my PM? -
Do I Have A "complete" Busm / Pearson #6 - Or What?
Constabulary replied to Constabulary's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Yet not much progress I only have painted the cleaned parts... I know it´s an unusual color but on the picture it appears more green but its actually more olive. It looks live much better. Mine originally had a motor with separated clutch but no way to find the missing clutch parts for this special clutch system. So I wonder if someone has motorized his Pearson / BUSMC #6 with either a regular clutch motor or even a servo motor. If so - where have you put the motor? I wonder if the motor brake on a servo motor / clutch motor is strong enough to stop the rotation of the massive wheel on the backside of the stand. I of course could leave this out and go directly to the pulley on the main shaft but the huge wheel would give the needle much more punch. Motorizing the machine is just an idea. Most likely I will hand crank or treadle it but I´d like to know if others have motors on their machines. -

I once uploaded 2 nice & clear manulas in this thread maybe they are helpful for you. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=57862

try to find a weaker spring or cut some coils from the original spring.
-
oh man - when I see all this it once again confirms my opinion that older machines are often enough the better choice - at least for my purposes. @Venator have you ever contacted Nick-O-Sew to tell them what is going on with the machine you bought from them?

college sewing in the UK has a lot of 29K parts but I´m not sure if the rollers are the same but I assume they are. https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/Singer29K,29USewingMachineParts

10-12 spi sounds like a very very worn machine. It is most likely the bell crank lever you have to replace and probably the feed motion ring. maybe some other parts too. Maybe this thread is helpful for you. I have restored a 29K1 last year: http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=60554&hl=%20barn%20%20find
