  1. What needle system and thread are you using? You can use 29x3 (Dix1, 332) needles and 135x17 (DPx17) they all have the same length. Try to adjust the small spring on the shuttle carrier, maybe it is pushing too hard against the shuttle and the thread has problems to slip through. Is the tip of the shuttle worn or broken? Though you say the timing is correct you sometimes have to play with it a little bit to find the
  2. Glenn - one more for your list: CHRISTIAN MANSFELD, Leipzig http://www.ebay.de/itm//281585878512 Thats a really really nice one, isn´t it? Actually a Duerkopp 18 patcher, right?
  3. Well, if I were a dealer and some one wants to spend a few thousands I´d leave the door open a few hrs longer and I´m sure they will when you ask.
  4. usually right of the motor pedal. I´m sure most dealers will have these extras pedal for a few bucks. I guess they will cost between $10 and $20 Or try this one: http://goldstartool.com/FOOT-PEDAL-CAST-IRON.html
  5. Of course not (not exactly sure what you mean) but the one I have linked is obviously an Adler 30-1 but MUNDLOS labeled and not a Singer 29K.
  6. Nope - straight Adler 30-1
  7. Glenn, I have another one for your list MUNDLOS - but once again an ADLER made machine. http://www.ebay.de/itm/antike-Schuhmacher-Naehmaschine-der-Marke-Mundlos-/181673388298?ssPageName=ADME:SS:SS:DE:3160
  8. But you don´t have the risk of receiving a damaged package from overseas or the risk of a lost overseas package when buying in the US. And you may have it much sooner when you are buying from Weaver. I´m sure Sieck will ship by boat and not Airmail. It of course is you decision but you have to ponder the risks.
  9. Have you seen this website? They also have your "Steroids" patcher as it seems: http://schiffmann-orthopaedie.de/fussorthopaedie-beckingen-merzig-lebach/antike-schuhmacher-naehmaschinen/
  10. Pay me for gas + expenses and I will pick it up for you - quite a trip all across Germany. I will let others have the binder as I´m not a collector and have no use for it. I guess it will go higher than 55€ Did you know of Martin Decker patchers?
  11. Are "brushed motors" really servo motors? I thought servo motors always have these rare earth magnets or coils. I just ask because I`m not sure. Brushed sewing motors are very common over here. Moretti, EFKA, ELTE, Pfaff and so forth produced these for decades. They were called "Anlassermotor" (but a 1:1 translation may not make sense) I just have two of them flotation around. I always liked them (some more - some less) The power is not electronically controlled. They have a stack of contacts instead and the further you push the foot pedal the more contacts are touching each other and so the power is controlled. (I do not mean clutch motors) So does the fact that a motor is electronically controlled make it a servo motor?
  12. One more - a Pfaff 230-1 http://www.ebay.de/itm/281604332681 Its the same as the Adler 30-1 I would amuse that Pfaff bought these patcher from Kochs-Adler Too bad - it is not close to me, seems it comes with a nice buch of extras. ___________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: And the parade goes one... A patcher named with Martin Decker, Mannheim http://www.ebay.de/itm/271768579732 never heard of this before _____________________________________________________________________________ And if someone is interested an a very rare Adler Class 30 accessory - check this out: http://www.ebay.de/itm/131428100219 I never have seen a binder attachment for a patcher before (I knew they exist but never have seen one)
  13. would be good to have a manual because of thread thickness and stitch length.
  14. probably not "my pair of shoes"... but thanks forthe information.
  15. I wonder what kind of work this machine was made for and what type / model is it? Thanks for your help
  16. This is what I mean - see pictures. But yours may look different. Not sure if there are diffrent type of hooks for the 105 Thanks for the greetings
  17. When you want to repair one of them - maybe one day - you don´t have to take them to the dealer anymore - you just have to press CTRL ALT DEL or reboot them. In the next level it will come with an OBD plug. I heard rumors the 1069 or 1169 will have one
  18. Copied from a Singer manual: MACHINE 29K71 End of cylinder bed is 1 inch wide and 7/8 inch deep. Space at right of needle 12-1/4 inches. MACHINE 29K72 End of cylinder bed is 1-5/32 inches wide and 1-1/16 inches deep. Space at right of needle 17-1/2 inches. Large Bobbin. MACHINE 29K73 End of cylinder bed is 1 inch wide and 7/8 inch deep. Space at right of needle 17-1/2 inches.
  19. Sounds like dirt / lint under the tension spring or a brocken spring. Check the 2 small tongues that hold the spring in the boddy. You should see them both from the inside. Maybe they are broken off.
  20. Found another CLAES but I´m not sure if it isn´t the same as one of the earlier mentioned ones: CLAES 200-1 http://www.ebay.de/itm/ALTE-CLAES-SCHUSTERNAHMASCHINE-SCHUMACHER-SATTLER-NAHMASCHINE-FREIARM-/351309505646?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item51cbada46e This one will go for a bargain I think.
  21. can you post a close up of just the head - this is so nice!!!
  22. WOW - that one is really in a great condition. I never have seen a Duerkopp with these ornamentations. I only know them in black (or haven´t looked close enough). A very nice patcher indeed.
  23. No manual - sorry. I just remembered that Phoenix had a patcher too. I never have seen one in person. BTW - are you collecting patcher machines?
  24. There also is the Phoenix Class 130 - it is an Adler 30-15 Id´say.
  25. Awsome Jimi - these are really great information. I have added your PDF to the above PDF file "Singer 45K Descriptions of Subclasses" so everything is one file now.
