Is any one else getting this error, or is it only me? " Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::language() in /home/bosslady/public_html/forum/system/Dispatcher/Standard.php on line 79 " Bert.
  2. I remembered them after my last buy up on bindings and other bits and pieces that they sell. I purchased a 5 thread overlocker off some one in the same town and he told me about them, have not been back in town since. Bert.
  3. They are less then 30 min drive from where I live, sadly I have not needed to visit them since I found out they were so close. Bert.
  4. @toxo I think you have made the same mistake I did with my first try, I used to thick leather, then my eyelet was not long enough to hold the ends together. Second try I use half the thickness of leather and it worked okay for me. Bert.
  5. I realised you have already ordered, but this company is not far from me and I for got them. https://www.vardhman.com.au/ I have not purchased anything so far, but I shall be in the not to distant future. Bert.
  6. I have dealt with this company several times over the years and found the good to deal with. Last time I had a problem, I rang them they went out of their way to help me. Bert.

  11. I found this Article written by an Aussie Ken Jerrems in 2007 about restoring a 29K13 and I found some of it interesting and I thought you might also. Bert. Singer29K13.pdf
  12. I see you have a similar problem with couriers as we do here in Australia. Charge big dollars, but no responsibility for any damage or loss. Had 1000 number 7 zipper pulls go walk about and no-one seemed to care, in the end the seller sent me another packet of them and got them with in days, the first packet turned up 2 weeks later. Had another box turn up with all the print was rubbed off the box and nearly destroyed, it had been sliding around the back of the truck for days, when I ask the driver about claiming if the printer in side did not work, he show me the back of the docket where it said" We are not responsible for any damage" Yeah, thanks mate. Bert.
  13. Your right dikman and if they say they don't have or won't, give you a refund, tell them you will go to PayPal and cancel the payment and PayPal will have to by law, as dikman stated. Bert.
  14. Wow, to make those flowers and sculpture out of leather and look that good is unbelievable. Bert.
  15. All I can say is he has done it again, but this time he stayed home and stuffed it up again, just like I thought he would. But he looking after his mates by giving big business free apprentices......................... Bert.
  16. Yes, some old Domestic Machines will sew light leather, some longer then other, some do it better then others, but they are not designed to do it, you WILL end up killing them. I have a nice collection of buggered domestic sewing machine, but I learnt and with help from forums like this I now own and use good quality sewing machines of all materials including heavy leather. Sadly by not buying a leather machine to start with I have Paid more of my hard earned dollars then I need to, if I got the right machine the first time. From the School of Hard Knocks, Bert.
  17. You are right, whether 1.5 feet or 25 meters, the recent fire here in Australia, the spot fires where jumping kilometers ahead of the fires. They need to keep the fuel load per square meter or mile as low as possible, lesson the aboriginals learnt thousands of year ago and still practice today. Bert.
  18. It appears that it is a Domestic Machine which may not sew heavy enough thread to made Dog Toys. For Leather and webbing, you will need something a little heavier. Bert.
  19. I had a farm for a few years and where I would mowed the road verge to my fence line, as I had an irrigation channel on my side of the fence and did not want to upset that. After a few years a bloke pulled up in the drive and asked why I mowed the verge, so I told him was using it as my fire break and he ask if I would walk down one half of my fence line, next thing he's pointing out these weeds and telling me I can't mow them as they are some native plants. I asked him nicely to get back in his car and drive away, next time it needed mowing I let the cows out and they mowed it for me. I received a letter in the post asking me not to do that again, wish I kept that bloody letter, as I through it in the fire. Ended up selling a year or two year later, not my problem. Bert.
  20. Did going around the pulley 1 1/2 times help with your tension problem? Bert.
  21. Maybe this is the problem, " Posted March 22, 2011 " Bert.
  22. Not saying anything, but I need to be aware that they are in the same group I have Facebook and Google in and for that I say thank you. Been on the net since the mid 80's and I learn something new nearly every day. Bert.
  23. Please don't hold you breath wait for it to show in your account, don't you know it hard to work from Hawaii, that's probably where here will go when we get the virus full on here. Around here if you want a fire break you have to do it yourself, at your expense, that is if you can get permission from the local shire, the forestry dept and the greenies, good luck with that. Our council changes the way it read it's rules from day to day, it depends on who you ask. I still have a sore head from belting it against the brick wall last time I spoke to them. Bert.
  24. Come on Rocky, they was telling us yesterday how much they care and how they will help you through this new virus we are all going to catch. Bert.
