Gee Brian, those Qld cops have always acted first then asked questions, I still have fond memories of walking around Brisbane CBD about 10 o'clock one night in 1969 and walking into a couple of the boys walking the beat. I to do not wear foot ware while driving, Hmm, need to remember that. Bert.

This machine was the second one I purchased and I found if you are careful, it will sew heavy canvas and light leather easily. I changed out the standard tension spring and it seems to handle heavy threads okay. If I have been doing a bit of slow sewing I manually oil it, or pull the thread out and give it a few busts of high speed. Bert.

Looks like your life is going to get a little easy when doing studs and a like. I like. Bert.

Considering Getting a Techsew Sewing Machine. Need Advice.
Bert51 replied to Abdo's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Thanks Wiz, you just gave me an idea. I have a constant running motor on my 31K47 and I was thinking of just using a servo motor, but as the transmitter works good, I just might try that. Bert. -
After I did the course we got our first real keyboard and an IBM interface to the main frame. Heady times. Bert.

mikesc, i still remember when my company IT department thought my skills needed updating and sent me to learn DOS 4.0. I was happy to get away from zero's and one's. Bert.

It appears your RED line have turned, if you can see oil in the window about the same distance as the first Red line all should be good. I cannot see any oil in the window or is it just the photo? Bert.

Thank you for your help, the 206 and the 226 look very similar, if I put both on my phone I might look like I know what I'm looking at. Thanks, Bert.

Thanks Wiz, I just want to look at a manual before seeing it. Bert.

I was wondering if you could help by identifying this machine. All I know it is a Consew upholstery machine, but it is missing it's ID plates. I looks similar to Singer/Seiko's I have seen in the pasted, but I have no idea of the model. Thanks, Bert.

The only problem I have with Rock's posts, is I make should the wife is not looking over my shoulder when I look at his photo's. The last time she saw one, all I heard for a week is what she want to in the photo. Mate you need to warn me when you post the photos of your products, thankfully you are in Qld and I'm in Vic. I think Wiz is right with the Servo or even dikman's pulley, I still have the old 1480 rpm clutch motor on my Adler. Bert.

I have some abrasive string I use on my guide if I think there even looks like a bump or a burr on it. It's saved a few old guides that I would normally throw away, if replacements where still available. Bert.

Restoring OEM Stitch Length on Singer 29K70
Bert51 replied to Snakeoil's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
This needs to be placed in a safe place where it can be found easily, if any one wants details on restoring their 29 head, I think this information is invaluable. But this is only my opinion. Bert. -
I have an Adler 105, which is similar to your 45, I have a 50 mm pulley on the motor put a new "M" belt on it, the pulleys are 3/8 not 1/2 inch like normal V Belts and now it stitches at my speed. Bert.
