  1. I bought my last new machine from Nick-O-Sew, great people to work with... Got an excellent deal on a Consew 227-R-2 with leather package. All the dealers on here are very helpful and deserve our support.
  2. I dye all the insides of my belts, and then use Tan-Kote for the finish --- has worked well for me so far...
  3. What I stated above "IS NOT" just my opinion --- you stated in an earlier post that you mine and trade these, so you DO have a vested interest in increasing their value... If someone on here wants to invest in any commodity, then that is their choice, I just feel people need the whole story before making such a decision. Making people think there is NO risk to this is just not being honest. This all I will post on this subject, and like I said, "Good Luck" with your investment.
  4. My wife said it would take a bigger man than the one in the picture to hold up our grandbaby, he is a chunker... lol
  5. I respect Beaverslayer trying to increase his investment, but I guarantee you folks, that anyone pushing Bitcoin to you has a vested interest in it, they either mine them and/or trade them... Their success in making money depends on their ability to increase the use of this digital currency... I will never accept anything but cold hard cash, there is no good reason to get involved in this --- If this can be easily converted to cash, then the people who have them can convert them and pay me... I have done lot's of research on this, so it is not just my opinion...
  6. Very cool, thanks for sharing that...
  7. Wytch, This is extremely risky and the potential for loss is huge, Bitcoin is constantly be pushed because it's value depends on more people getting into the fold... My opinion is this is a bubble that will burst with catastrophic results... Sometimes "no accountability" is not good... (Based on my research --- your opinion may vary)
  8. Nice Job! I like the Reaper too, very cool...
  9. I use a CSO awl as well, and once properly polished it will go through leather like butter --- I lay the leather on a piece of dense styrofoam and punch away, works great...
  10. If those are actually your first attempts at leatherworking, you have some serious talent... Nice Job!
  11. Call me crazy, but it has never occurred to me to try that with my Consew...
  12. I hope that guy doesn't have a warranty issue... lol
  13. Nice to meet you, I live in the Indianapolis metro area (South). You are right, this is a great place to learn...
  14. I use Fiebings Tan-Kote, works great --- It can be applied with a dauber or a rag.
  15. There are several "How To" videos on youtube that do a good job of showing the proper way to recover a motorcycle seat --- sometimes a video is worth a thousand words...
  16. Very Nice!
  17. Very nice, I never tried to "hand stitch" an entire jacket --- I'm afraid my hands and patience would not survive!
  18. In a pinch I use poster board that can be purchased just about anywhere...
  19. I have two Barry King mauls, a 16 oz. and a custom made 48 oz. --- they are hard to beat for the price --- they are almost too pretty to use.
  20. Thanks, I should post more stuff... A lot of my work I just don't take pictures of --- I just finished a Road King seat and didn't take a single picture. Guess I will have to start doing better in that regard...
  21. Yeah, it's great that someone can look at a creation, and see more than the creator...
  22. I have yet to hear ONE good reason why I would want to get involved in this versus cold hard cash --- I have absolutely zero issues with customers paying me cash money!
