  1. Running lockstitch?
  2. That gives me an idea. Lowe's carries stain pens for touch ups on cabinets. They are near the wood filler. I use them all the time at work. Why didn't I ever think of that before now???

  4. Check with Maverick. http://maverickleathercompany.com/product-category/horween/latigo/
  5. From what I understand the tandy Latigo is known for bleeding. I have a Tandy down the street. No one else seems to have this problem. I have been ordering all my leather (not a lot so far) from online sources. Quality and price are way beyond Tandy. Give it a try. You'll see how bad they have been doing you.
  6. We needed another Mutt around here. Welcome aboard. Looks like you are off to a great start and more than anything, having fun.
  7. No, think along the lines of a traditional holster with a retention strap. Looped over and stitched. I don't think they were wet formed. Most of the wet forming comes in with concealment holster using the body as a main or only for of retention.
  8. Excellent answer Bill. I was going to dive in after church. Not enough time and coffee this morning. I will add this..... If you know you are going Friday, call them earlier in the week and see if they won't spend a little class time with you. They offer classes and it never hurts to ask.
  9. You Are the WIZ!!! That was very helpful. Thanks.
  10. Well, is there anything you like about it??? Lol I think it was a great attempt.
  11. I thought the 3200 had the same feed as the bigger machines? I thought the only difference was thread max and lift height. Dangit, back to the drawing board. To be totally honest I don't even know how small #69 thread is it if I would use it. Hoping to make wallets, belts, sheaths, and holsters......
  12. Thanks for sharing.
  13. But Wiz, the link for the 3200 says it will run thread from #69 up to #346? Is this a misprint? The stated range of this machine has had me leaning that way for a while now. I do understand I would have to learn how to adjust it well to take advantage of such a range. (Humbly bows and backs away)
  14. Looks great, I'm sure it will out last him.
  15. Yeah, life and work are always working against us having fun.
  16. Can you tell us a little about the engraver? Is it easy to use, set up, etc?
  17. I could put this under my sharpening quartz. Here's a large piece available at home depot. http://m.homedepot.com/p/Con-Tact-Specialty-Coverings-48-in-x-18-in-Cork-Liner-04F-C6421-06VP/100388887
  18. No worries. That horween stuff (even as seconds) is pretty.
  19. So wish I could move on this deal, but alas, I can not. Someone will get a great deal.
  20. I think your choice will be great in a 5-6 ounce. If the wallet has much of an interior I would use a lighter weight for that. 3-4 ounce. If you have a splitter you should be set.
