    I guess you just can't see the connection here, or the inherent judgment in you stating that "she is vegan and while likes the look, doesn't want to contribute to the animal side of things". The implication being that we leather workers club baby seals to death using baby moose or something? and that petrochemical "pleather" is somehow better

    I stand by what I said. You raised the vegan issue. You raised the use of animals in the context of your girlfriend as a vegan. Perhaps it is you that should learn to phrase your questions better as your girlfriends views on use of animal for product and her lifestyle choice of being a vegan literally had nothing to do with a topic on faux leather.

    I'm a pretty laid back guy. But this winds me up. No. I'm not an authority but I have educated myself. I might suggest that you and your girlfriend do the same in the environmental impact of your vegan leather as it very clearly harms people.

    I have seen leather tool rolls with plastic and kydex inserts in the compartments. When the blade is removed the sheath comes out with it. I have also seen one where the sheath was drilled and stitched into the compartment

    So let me get this straight. She won't take a real leather item made from a byproduct of the meat industry (in most cases) because its an animal product. But she is OK with fake leather .The so called vegan leather which is a byproduct of the petrochemical industry? Hmm

    My dad taught me and my brother to dive and snorkel as kids. On weekends he would take us to his buddy's dive shop. His buddy was a Navy diver "back in the day" and had his first dive suit in display in the shop. The box lid bought back some great memories. My dad died December 8. So this was a nice trip down memory lane. Great job
