    I think personal choice of blade and one you are most comfortable with using. Just make sure it's sharp and don't rush the cut. I use a Stanly knife

    I spent a lot of time in the jungle and the bush. Always wore a knife strapped to my leg. Things get caught up real quick. Suit the sheath to the purpose

    Nfo couldn't hurt. Apply a layer. Let it soak in and go from there. Yes you can dye after oiling

    These handles look easy enough to make. The image posted is basically a small blanket roll. Other images I've seen are just a long leather cuff with a carry handle
