  1. It is a true statement in my case. But it's one of those things it takes years to recoup from. i used to tell friends the next time I wanted to get married, I was going to find a woman I did not like buy her a house. Then I met Miss Di . It's been a good 25 years.
  2. Both pieces are beautiful. She will love it. Thank you for sharing.
  3. @fredk Reminds me to check the dates of the posting. Thank you Sir.
  4. Great find. Do you mind if I ask the listed price. Since I very well may be within in driving distance.
  5. @JLSleather Thank you Sir. I have a great tendency to over complicate things. That is so simple I just could not wrap my mind around it. Thank you for all your time.
  6. @immiketoo Of all the things I have been called. That is the first time I have been called that. Laughing so hard my wife is looking at me strange. But know, the paddles are big. A moose is a hard beast to paddle.
  7. @immiketoo If you would please. Explain how you achieved the crispness of the crossroad symbol, color wise, did you actually paint the darker color in those fine lines? Also the texture (dots) that fade away from the center of the band. Thank you Sir
  8. Here in the States, I have seen them on Ebay a few times. I know it seems like a perversion, but check the internal diameter of the wheel it may well be the same diameter used today on commonly made stitch wheels. Great find.
  9. @ByNelson Great looking work you did here. Curious, how has the foam padding held up over time? Than you for the consideration.
  10. @JLSleather A machine for thick leather is in my near future I hope. Please explain the straight edged leather trick. My mind does not want to wrap around it in its simplicity, I am sorry to say. Unless you are gluing/taping it to the bottom of the presser foot.
  11. Elmer is going to be the coolest goat on the farm. Good job. I used to own a big Nubian billy. They will test most anything when they choose.
  12. @JLSleatherThank you kindly for sharing your pattern making mojo with the rest of us. It will be awhile but the Misses has tasked me with making her boy child a holster for his 1911 for Christmas. I figure 4 or 5 screw ups down the road you guys will get a picture. That is iffin I can figure out how to resize it. Thank you Sir.
  13. Beautiful work Sir. Pride in your work is obvious. Thank you for sharing. An aside comment. Love the book case.
  14. I have not found a Flexcut product I do not like. The Gold polishing compound works very well also. In my wood shop the basic kit and a drill press powered Powerstrop is all I use for most sharpening.
  15. Also a base coat of navy blue, or midnight blue followed by your black will produce a deeper more even black.
  16. The unit that gives you the greatest reduction will produce the most torque. All other variables being equal.
  17. @LeatherLegion That is some beautiful work. Enjoyed looking through your photos. Thank you.
  18. @JRLeather2 In your example of the turnback you are using the tool tilted so only the toe portion is making the impression, if i am correct?
  19. @RockyAussie Man those are some beautiful belts.
  20. I do not know, but does Loctite work well on brass? Just a thought. I use the blue wood to leather with nickel plated Chicago screws all the and never had a problem. Any answers will be appreciated. As I have never used brass screws before.
  21. @SonydazeGreat thank you. I did a Google search that was the first one I found. I need one, so that will save me a few bucks. Many thanks
  22. @RockyAussie Found these on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/i/112957220025?chn=ps
  23. Beautiful work. I have a love of brass. The brass one looks beautiful and very comfortable. Thank you for sharing. Do you make them for sale?
