  1. Good Job!! Bob
  2. to the forum. The Tippman is a good starter machine as long as you can figure out how to sew with one hand & it doesn't take up alot of room. But for alittle more$$ you can buy a real cast iron & steel machine that will last alot longer & be easier to operate since the motor will run the machine & noy your hand. Bob
  3. Both your other answers by Wiz & Art are correct, but if you DO need a tacker like that I just though I'd let you know parts are still available for it. This machine is also used for sewing belt loops on jeans. Bob
  4. Russ, Yes,we have used machines too.But not any 1541 or 206's @ this time.We do have a few 562's&563's left they are like the 1508's Bob
  5. Johnny, This type of thing has been going on for years.Probably a guy named Paul had a sewing machine biz & got this machine & stuck his name on it & then closed up or retired & that's why you can't find any info. But to be honest w/you it looks like a taiwan or chinese knockoff of a consew 226. So it shouldn't be any problem getting parts & acc if needed. HTH Bob
  6. Russ, It should sew 10oz+ w/o much trouble. We sell alot of them & they are great machines.Just make sure to get the "S" model. Bob

  8. Hey Guys, A word for the wise, the 29K51,53,56 all have real small & brittle gears in them that have been obsolete over 30 yrs.I get alot of calls for people wanting gears for them & have to tell them they have a parts machine. All the upper head parts are the same as the 29K58,71,71 which have larger gears in them that you can still buy & use this for parts. Hope this helps, Bob
  9. Hello Laurie, Welcome to the board. I redo alot of old Singers & they never seem to quit sewing. Bob

  11. I have a Seiko to Consew machine conversion chart & it says the Seiko LDC-8BV-1 is the same as the Consew 277RFS The largest thread they can use is a #92 & sew alittle over 1/4" of leather, they are made for binding & sewing thinner material. Bob
  12. Don't forget to make sure the thread is wrapped aound the 2nd tension 11/2x Bob
  13. It's a needlefeed walking foot with no feed dog, real similar to a 31-15 only better feeding.most parts are still available.
  14. I am. Bob
  15. I don't know of any we have sold the Alpha-Sew & alot of inmates like them & use them alot & they don't seem to have alot of problems. We also have found a way to prevent the topshaft from getting bent in shipment. It probably takes us a good hour or more to go through one & get it ready, there's alot of little things that need to be done & if you get a machine from ebay that hasn't been gone over I'm sure you'd have some issues with it. Bob
  16. Wiz, The Sailrite is just an Alpha-Sew w/a large wheel & different color paint. And they also give you a big sales pitch about it. Bob
  17. Marty, Here's a pic of our stand @ almost the highest the table top measures 44" & will go down a good 10".You would have to remove the bolts on the column & move them to different holes to go from sit to stand & adjust the chain for both the motor & foot lifter also. Bob
  18. I've been in the sewing machine biz 31yrs & haven't seen one of these yet,Does anyone have a pic they can post.Of course this machine was made in UK so maybe they never imported many. Bob
  19. The feet that mount the other way are for 111w style of machines that have the 2-pc walking feet here's a listing of the feet we have for your machine which is called a needle feed. The file is too big to put here if you want to send me a pm w/your email address I'll send it. Thanks, Bob
  20. Ok, is there thread lube in the pot?
  21. Yes,they are great machines & for a better looking stitch you can use a #20 when sewing w/#92 thd. I have some customers are even using#138. What's nice about the 31-15 is that parts are still available & all kinds of different feet too. Bob
  22. Welcome to the board & I hope to see some pics of your projects, this is a great site full of info. Bob
