  1. When you put the needle plate back on make sure the little tab of the bobbincase is in the slot of the needle plate which is @ the 9:00 position. Also make sure it's threaded correctly & that you have enough tension & hold on the the needle thread for the 1st 3-4 stitches.
  2. @BrickCityBeasts Glad you like the reducer! You might need to adjust the reverse & foward stitch length ,foward stitch is the lower screw, loosen the locknut & turn the screw to the left, the upper screw in the pic is for reverse. You might need to ajust both so the stitch length is the same in foward & reverse.
  3. The best way to adjust this is loosen the screw in the stitch indicator, then push the button in & adjust the stitch length to full length. Then spin the indicator to the #5 & tighten the set screw on it.
  4. Like Gary said you might have to not set your needle so deep. Here's a manual. Bonis manual.pdf
  5. @Devorah Here's a couple of manuals for the 269 & yes they aren't the easiest machine in the world to work on. class_269w.pdf 269w.pdf
  6. It's possible he made a wooden crate for it & that's why it so heavy?
  7. When I ship them double-boxed they weigh 52 Lbs (the extra box & packing weigh 6 lbs) he might want to re-check the weight because he's way off.
  8. Do you have any play or movement of the needlebar left to right ?
  9. The only advantage of this machine over the Consew is the higher lift & easier stitch length adjustment. It should take a longer (190R) needle and only Pfaff feet fit Pfaff's so they tend to cost more $.If you were to buy a Juki 562,563,1541 or 1508 your Consew feet will interchange.
  10. Yes,buy it's a great machine for auto upholstery.
  11. Yes,but like I mentioned b4 Sailrite chgs alot for everything.we sell these same feet & have them in stock for $10.00 ea.
  12. Once you get it where it needs to be tighten the screws as tight as you can or it will slip & stick up again.
  13. @Lgbrs9 Loosen this screw & try to push the bracket it fits into.
  14. The clamp might be stuck on the shaft, did you loosen the screw alot?If so you could try & put a screwdriver between the clamp & pry it just alittle to get it to open so you can push the bar down.
  15. It is a 205MO-25 that has a top jump foot w/teeth on it made for sewing moccasins, from the factory it will barely sew 3/8".it has feed dogs underneath that need to pull the leather through which can leave marks on the bottom & you could the teeth off the upper foot if there still on it.
  16. It's very common for the threads to get broken on the shaft.Be careful when re-installing.
  17. When it's up put oil on the shaft(right where it goes into the casting that it rides in) & try to push it down, try it a few times to get the oil worked into the part.
  18. It's possible the inside foot bar is stuck & needs some oil.You should be able to push on the linkage @ the end of the pen & push the inside pressure bar down.Look how far down this one is compared to yours.
  19. Use a large screwdriver that fits in there tightly & you could put a wrench on it while pushing down on the screwdriver will work.
  20. Loosen this screw & push the foot down where it needs to be so it pushes the outside one up.
  21. You should move it hereItems For Sale - Leatherworker.net BUT when your selling something you should price it.
  22. Call Campbell Randall @ 937-539-1400 they have needles & awls for Landis 3 & 16 that will work in your straight needle Champion.
  23. The smallest made & they are a S-point is size#21,I do stock the 7x3 in a round point in sizes #19,20,21,22,23 which some people use when using thinner thread. You might consider getting a smaller upholstery machine like an old Singer 111w or something & keep it setup for thin leather. It will take some adjusting on the Outlaw to get the tension right & they when you go back to thick thread you'll have to re-adjust.
  24. Yes,it is a wick system, but I would still manually oil all the places esp in the needlebar area before you sew on it.
