  1. It's the same machine as a 31-15 just 3" shorter & has a roller foot.Use regular grease (wheel bearing type) will work on the motor bearings.
  2. Oops!Thanks for catching it.
  3. @AlZilla I just saw 3 of these spindles on ebay
  4. But you will run into problems where it isn't going to feed properly since the feed dog doesn't go up when it goes back & drops down when it goes foward. You need something like a Consew 227R or Juki 341 type of machine with what's called a 4 motion feed.
  5. Sorry, they have been discontinued yrs ago, usually the threads are broken on the shaft making the spindle unusable. If you release the tension(or take out screw BB & back screw CC out) on the stitch mechanism it(spindle) will slide all the way in & use screw CC to adjust the length & then reinsert CC to lock it from backing out.
  6. Is it looping underneath when it does this?If so you might need to tighten your upper tension.
  7. @AlZilla It's made that way so it has tension on the outside & doesn't turn as your sewing,it got bent because someone tried jamming it in there w/o backing out the screws to release the tension.
  8. If you can get that spindle back in there,if you can't just get a piece of metal the size of the spindle, taper the end ,push it in all the way & you can take out screw BB & use screw CC to adjust the stitch length. The spindle will go in alot easier if you backed the CC screw.
  9. 138 is about the largest you can use.
  10. This is for a walking foot machine BUT everything is the same except you don't have the walking feet parts to adjust. 111w101.pdf
  11. @PasoLargo Here's a pic,it very simple the inner spring hooks into the outer one.
  12. This is a needle feed & unless someone changed it it should take a 135x5 for cloth ,vinyl & webbing & a 135x8 for leather it's about 1/4" shorter than the 135x17.
  13. Here's a Singer manual. You need to go around the tension on the side 1 & 1/2 times so the thread can grip the tension pulley. 45Kmanual.pdf
  14. Used cyl arm machines are hard to find,BUT you might try Vais Sewing Machine in Brooklyn,he's a honest person.
  15. Quoted from their website. All of our waxed polyester products are manufactured in house. Explore the products we manufacture, or shop cotton cord, nylon machine threads, and various sewing threads and accessories we distribute.
  16. Are you holding onto the needle thread for the first 3 stitches?
  17. The stitch length disc needs to be adjusted, adjust the length to fthe longest stitch length & have the #5 in the window & tighten screw.
  18. What is a full model # the 144w different subclasses of these had different ways to adjust the stitch length.
  19. @Seamyher89 There's the problem!! I can check with Juki tomorrow & let you know if they have them.
  20. Drilling in a hole this small is pretty tough to do,we've found if you pull the needle out it will take the pressure off the screw & it usually turns out using the point of a needle.
  21. I don't the your pics on the link you posted, try posting them here.
  22. Yes,there could be thread in the groove of the bobbincase that rides in the hook. You'll see the larger black gear that might have bad teeth.
  23. You have the foot pressure as tight as it will go loosen it until it starts skipping since it isn't holding the foot down then tighten a turn until it stops. You can run it real loose if you can hold the leather down as the needle is lifting our of the leather to get less marking.
