  1. ok with trimmers, the bobbin thread is cut and clamped when you heel back on the pedal. You cannot hold hold the bottom thread. What size and weight of thread are you using on your 467? Answer that first. then we can proceed on to the next phase. glenn
  2. I had one at one time. Have a customer looking for needles for 97-10. Any idea where one could still get them? 97x3, 97 x 4 needles. Thanks in advance for all your help. glenn
  3. If you are using #138 thread, you cannot run the thread thru the first tension assembly called a pre-tension assembly. Every time you cut the thread, it will come out of the needle. Bypass the tension discs on it and just thread thru the guide. Do not have to do this with #69 or #92 thread but #138 yes since it is considered a thick thread. I wokred and sewed on these for seven years. glenn
  4. I went on line on Google and put the part number in and got a few hits. You might try Henderson sewing in Alabama. glenn
  5. specs of the needle so we can find something close. glenn
  6. New genuine will be expensive. They do make generics. try eBay. there is a guy on eBay that sells Pfaff parts. he is in Lithuania. prices reasonable. You need to find the part numbers for the two gears. i would also contact Henderson sewing and Collier Equipment, both in Alabama. have parts numbers ready. ok the parts number for the bevel gear sets (only sold in sets) is #91-141536-90, the set screw set is #11-330964-15. The cost i found was $190.00 for the gears and the screws. Hope that helps glenn
  7. The 29-1 was made at the Elizabethport factory between 1894-1895. The 29K1 was made at the Kilbowie factory in Clydebank , Scotland. The stand should work for want you want it for. People will buy the 29-1 head if you decide to sell it. As Contabulary stated, this is and early machine. Singer stated making the UFA which becoame the 29 class in 1877. glenn
  8. Probably not Loctite! Just very tight. You need to find a very small ratchet with screw driver tips. I have one and it works great on small tight screw heads. Amazon carrys them but I got my elsewhere. glenn
  9. Should be a U-tube video on the machine. I would also contact Hoffman Brothers in Chicago. The may have an operations manual for the machine. glenn
  10. Send us some pics so we can see how bad it is rusted. I used Evaporust. to remove rust. glenn
  11. Needle way too small for that size of thread. You need a 24 needle to sew #207. These machines come in pretty rough and you need to go thru the thread path to check for burrs and other thins. Hook may be actually to sharp on the end.
  12. I will have to check to see what I have in stock. Gear still available from Durkopp/Adler in Georgia. Call them and get a price. I think the gear was about $74.00 plus shipping last time I checked. glenn
  13. Hoffman Brothers in Chicago? They handle the Ferdco machines. glenn
  14. Anybody got a copy of Bonis parts list and operations manual. Got a customer looking for one or both. glenn
  15. should use a system 794 needle. I think that can sew from #138 to #346. Contact Hoffman Brothers in Chicago. They now handle the Ferdco and may be able to help you with parts and indo. glenn

  17. may have to replace take up lever as well glenn

  19. KennethLee, I am sure Bob or Steve or Ralph would be the first to tell you the genuine machines are made better but also much more expensive. The clone machine is a good machine but the tolerances on a genuine Juki 341 or 1341 or closer. The clone was built to offer the customer a choice. I have a 1341 and have sewn on both the Cowboy and Juki 341. All are good machines. I see no difference between the Sew Tech, the Cobra and the Cowboy. All good and I believe all made in the same plant in China! The Juki 1341 retails H/O for somewhere between $3,800-$4,100.00. Great machine not cheap. You want a better machine that any of these, go to the Juki 2310 or the Cadillac, Adler 869. Trust me, none are better than the 869. That head only costs over $5,000.00! It is all about price. You say the Cobra 26 is better than the the Cowboy or Sew Tech. Based on what? I say no and that is based on 40 plus years of sewing experience! What are you basing your opinions on? Please tell me. Those questions are not meant to be a smart ass, rather information. Have you sewn on the Cobra 26? Have you sewn on any of the other machines. If not, how can you make that claim? There are lot of people on this site that are very, very good as to knowledge on machines. Listen to them! They are merely tying to educate and see your opinion. If not convinced, then buy the Cobra whenever they open back up and be done with it. Bitching will get you nowhere. Trust me!! glenn
