  1. oil the whole up good and then let see where you are. glenn
  2. So either a #10 or #20. Chances are it is a #20 which is medium bobbin. great machines! get a bobbin so we can see which it is. glenn
  3. Spray the entire bottom of the machine with penetrating oil and let it set for a couple of days. glenn
  4. SB Newton, The Bradbury company went out of business in 1923. Hooks are as rare as hens' teeth. I have 6 machines to rebuild and plan to have the hooks made on a 3D metal printer. Best info I can give you at the moment. glenn
  5. JJN, As Constabulary stated, it is a Claes made for Pfaff. It is a Claes 8346. Looks like it was a honey colored that Pfaff used in the late 1980's. This machine has been repainted. Best patchers in the world, bar none. Buy it. Check to see if there is an embossed needle number on the black arm cover. It will state either Needle system 81 or 88. That narrows it down as to subclass. glenn
  6. Schmetz to my knowledge moved their production from Germany to India. GB were producing needles in Vietnam as was Organ. glenn
  7. Spray needle with silicon spray. Will make the adhesive not stick to the needle. glenn
  8. Not sure what the 305 subclass. C class, M is for leather safety clutch, P is for 4 motion drop feed, N normally means 6mm stitch length. but this has a -05 on it. glenn
  9. Kwok Hing in China makes a few feet for it. Not sure if they make anything else. Only other source is Durkopp Adler. glenn
  10. Great. That part not easy to find!!! glenn
  11. Try on thing. Loosen the thumb screw in front a that lock the machine foot from rotating. Sometimes they are screw up a little to far for the foot to rotate. glenn
  12. What do you want to use for binding? That is the question. All of the mentioned items above can be made into binding. glenn
  13. No Steve at Cobra is in Northern California. Bob at Cowboy is in Toledo Sewing in Toledo, OH and Neel at Neel's Saddlery, the Cowboy dealer is also in Ohio.
  14. The rust on the stand should be wire wheeled or sandblasted. You also should try Evapo Rust. Great stuff. If it was me and I rebuild these machines, I would disassemble the stand, de-rust it, get an automotive paint mixed to duplicate the color, paint it and re-assemble it. Looks great and increases the value of the whole machine. It needs a drawer and i have the plans to make one as well as a couple on the Adler stands I have, glenn
  15. Some parts will fit from one machine to other. Parts from the 335, 345, 545, 1245, 595 and 1295 are interchangeable. What parts are you looking to see will work from one machine to another. I can tell you the feet are interchangeable. glenn
  16. Contact Eli Schlabach in Aurthr Illinois. He works on them, rebuilds them and manufacturers parts for them. I think his company is Landis? Some jump in here and help me. glenn
  17. I agree Bob. Put the oil to her and let it sit. The penetrating oil will loosen up any old oil, grease, dirt. etc. glenn
  18. Constabulary, Those covers will not fit a Pfaff 345. Also, 335 Pfaff cover will not fit 345. Pfaff 335 has the bobbin on the end of the arm, glenn
  19. That is the wrong needle set screw in the machine! glenn
  20. Constabulary, Those covers will not fit a Pfaff 345. Sorry. glenn
  21. A Consew 229 is a copy of a Singer 168. The bobbin caps should be interchangeable. In the picture shown, your bobbin case tab is not in the slot on the underside of the throat plate. Yours will need the bobbin case cover. Should thread the same as a Singer 168. Hope that helps. I may have a bobbin case cover around here. glenn
  22. You are missing the slide cover. Pfaff quite making the 345 some years ago. there is a possibility that a slide plate from an Adler 269 might fit. Contact Strima in Poland. They have a web site and they carry parts for old Pfaff's. glenn
  23. buy it and get a hold of Eli Slibach in Arthur, Illinois. He is at Landis Sales i believe glenn
