When you say "Heavy Duty" do you mean a Industrial Machine or a Heavy duty domestic machine, the domestic models would have problems with most veg tan leathers

If its got the normal two switches labelled P & S or similar , then the left button in my case marked P is the button that goes through the variable functions and the right button S is pressed to change the function settings, where if you keep pressing it then it goes through all option's and back to the original setting After alliterating a setting you press the left button to set the new value Most i have seen just have two buttons and a display As Wiz states a photo may help get results from similar models under a different name

I have a bit of a problem with using my Singer 111G155 for reverse When i start a line of sewing, I stitch 2 or 3 stitches and then slightly lifting the feet move the leather back to the position of the first stitch and continue sewing the line, same at the end of line so both ends have locking stitches Trouble is sometimes it seems to screw up and i get a double pickup of the bobbin thread and jam's the machine by holding it down to the bobbin What am i doing wrong, sometimes it works well others it screws up, apart from that its perfect

If you are professional in the UK maybe the same in the states, when you buy a new toy like a sewing machine, you can depreciate it on the accounts for normally 5 years, so you don't have to worry about resale value until you sell it say after 5 years and make a taxable profit The only thing i believe is positive resale value is used light aircraft where if you keep one for a few years it may well have a increased resale price, but to be fair you have probably spent a fortune on its upkeep anyway
