  6. Time to have some of those leatherworkers with 3-D printers to see what they can do to resurrect animal head stamps for the scouts.
  7. Quick answer--no. Just for grins I did a search for those John Varvatos triple buckle boots and found them in many places from $500 to $1,500. Now to reproduce those boots without any leather experience and no tools, no sewing machine, no leather, no pattern and no experience would be impossible for the £1,000.00 you don't have. Don't stop dreaming. Start looking for boot patterns, pricing leather, and use YouTube to look at videos on boot making (see the tools and techniques needed) and educate yourself. Start by searching for how to make them.
  8. This is the picture of my broken table that those 4by8 foot sheets of 3/4 inch plywood in the background caused when they fell. This was the rebuild with use of those 3/4 inch plywood sheets, hardboard with oak trim and angle iron supports
  9. They removed the article. Here is another way to see it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uQESGNKM0U2c5R9W_4rC_BvMq4rl0E8m/view?usp=sharing

  11. A simple Volt-Ohm meter can confirm a short by checking the resistance on the unplugged power lead between the ground lead and either of the other two prongs or between the two prongs.

  14. Here is a good over view of making the helmet There are several articles on making the shields, but this video just fascinates me.
  15. Those items not sold were donated to either the 4-H or Boy Scouts. Thanks for those helping with the estate sales. All SOLD...
  16. Price reduced to $300 for all three volumes of the signed and numbered (26/200) set of the Stohlman Encyclopedia of Saddle Making. See pictures at: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BKUrOpY9UYsoKEWyzaQJtv7fe7FMnQ0u?usp=sharing
  17. I've had too many of those ruined screw heads. I've purchased some screw drivers that are marketed for gunsmithing. Just search for "screw drivers for gunsmithing". I assume they are similar to the electrician’s screw drivers, that Uwe mentioned.
  18. 19. On a side note for FERDCO. I've had three of their machines: Pro-2000 (sold it), Pro-TK-1245 (phaff clone) and Pro 206H (consew clone) In all the years I've owned them, I've never, never had a skipped stich. What ever they did to modify the them was great. I think their patent has run out and maybe others will pick it up and make sewing easier for all of us.
  20. Check with https://hoffmanbrothers.com/leather-machines/ They bought out the FERDCO machines and all the parts when FERDCO terminated their business.
  21. Traps and Cats. Almost impossible to make air tight. Those damn mice can get through the smallest crack or hole. Don't ask me how I know....
