Tandy has sent out an email with the store locations that are now open for business. The email also stated that they were closing eight location permanently, but did not disclose which stores. It looks like they are at least trying to survive. I wish them the best, I hope they make it.

Not knowing your location is going to hinder the best source for Barge products. I will assume that you are in the USA. Try Springfield , Weaver, and Tandy. Weaver has the best selection and price . From 2oz up to a gallon.

I have been dying leather since the seventies, and I have never put dye on wet leather, no issues yet!

Fiebing's medium brown stain is close to the color in your picture. Super shene will work but Fiebing's Pro Resist will give you better results. You could use a dye but you would have to paint it on around the lettering. It is more work and time consuming. If I were you, I would go the stain route, after you put the resist on and let it dry. Good luck, share a picture or two when you finish.

Looks great! What are your thoughts on the Angelus brand of paints. I have never used them. I'm about to purchase leather and the only brand of paint, dyes, etc is Angelus. I kind of wanted to avoid having to pay shipping from several places.

10.00 for the holder plus 5.00 per coaster. Of course you would not sell the holder separate, just the breaking down each item. If you want to offer free shipping (IMHO just a gimmick but people like it) add an extra 1.00 per coaster to cover the cost. Frodo if you don't already have one I would get a stamp for American Gun Owners or something similar so it would not limit you to just your state. You have a great idea, it may be out there, but I have not seen any with the written out 2nd amendment. I would get it on Etsy and Ebay, your gonna sell them. Chuck, you came up with a really nice pattern, it looks awesome. How many coats and how thick did you put on the oil? I can't get mine to look as good as you have here. Those grips have me drooling.

I just followed the video using water and Fiebing pro oil dye. But thanks for the info, I will have to try it out and see what happens.

Corter leather has a video on a tie dye wallet . Using water and oil dye . I have tried it and it does work, but it has a steep learning curve to get it right. I have done it three times and have adjusted the ratio of water to dye and still need to keep adjusting the dye content. It uses a boat load of dye I don't know why the video calls it tie dye , it definitely is a marble effect..

Corkscrew, you did an amazing job on the sheath! I love the color choice, is that a metallic dye that you used for both colors. Sergey has the most unique stamps you will not find anywhere else. I have a few on my Christmas list. Thanks for the inspiring post and God bless.

I use a Garland No. 3 rawhide mallet. I had a hand and wrist injury in my past , so I can't use a very heavy mallet. This one seems to be the perfect fit that won't wear out my wrist. I tool and punch with it and it does the job. Can't ask for more.

Hi Mike, I'm over in the Ocala area, stay safe the next couple days, you will get more of the storm than over here. I have used Fiebing's saddle tan dye that seems to be pretty close to what you have in the pic's. It will take a few coats to get that shade. Might be worth trying on a piece of scrap. Good luck.

You need to get out of the cz more often, you made an awesome project. When that gets into public view, get out pen and pad and be ready to take orders! It will attract attention for sure. Is that Fiebing's Oxblood dye? It's a tricky color to work with for me, yours looks great! Thanks for sharing.
