wowzers!! i love your use of the stamp there!! Amazing texture on that.
-
man that rocks !!
-
very cool I like the look of the one with the weave on both sides.
-
i use both while working on projects mm's are much easier to figure than fractions but then if you use older patterns and most American made instruction books they are in inches so you have to adapt a bit to get something built. Its just the world we live in today lol.

considering that is the side of the holder and if you carry the holder in your right hand the picture of the flag will be facing the correct direction the way it is now. star field to the forward
-
man that looks really nice!!! The direction of the flag in the picture is ok. the field of stars is always towards the pole when hung outside or carried or if on an arm patch the field will be to the front of the person. We wore our flag patch on the right arm so the field was on the right facing forward when looking at it. when it is hung on a wall you are correct in its positioning.

Another thing some chisels are measured tip to tip in mms while some others the gap between tines is measured in mms

"Our Boots" A wonderful book given to me a little while back ,Thank you Mike!!! about the Inuit women's method of making mukluks, states that the sinew is used and sewn dry. they still use it because it swells when wet and seals the holes preventing leakage. They also have a certain stitch that produces a very tightly sealed seam.
-
the "indigenous groups" Of north America also used it in conjunction with hide glue or glue made from fish skins often as a backing on bows not only for sewing or hafting arrows. I salt mine slightly when drying so i can chew it soft for sewing or using and it tastes better lol.
-
I'm gonna have to look into this stuff lol.
-
i use it for period stuff mountain man / rendezvous era around here and also carry it in my pack its some good stuff out on the trail. . Real sinew is much different stuff to work with i take it off my critters and scrape off the meat, dry it out then it has to be re- hydrated to use. It drys like rawhide and is strong as heck.
-
i love the meander tool here are a couple different ways to use it. lol.
-
yup i have some i use it in glass stuff. We had to remove all the Styrofoam cups and such from our prison here because the inmates found they could melt them down and make shanks from the hard plastic undectable and really friggin sharp.. Its amazing what people can come up with.

put vineagar and clean steel wool, or any clean iron, in a glass jar until the wool is gone or a week or so at least, apply it just as any dye. You can stain wood with it also just paint your wood with tea then apply the roon, the black color comes from the chemical reaction between the iron and tannic acid that leather is tanned with. tea also has tannic acid. then folks neutralize the vinegar with baking soda water mix.
-
wow that is a top notch job there .
