  3. Just finished this for my 98 Road King...I'm fairly new at this and was real happy the way it turned out. This was my first time applying an antique finish...There are dark and light spots with the antique...Any ideas on how to overcome that, feel free to let me know. Used Fiebings Black Acrylic Antique Stain & Resolene Thanks for looking, Bruce
  4. SWEET! Nothing greater than sharing with your daughter! Love em, Looks like great little pouches!
  5. Nice!!!...I wouldn't change a thing it blends well with the handle.
  6. I'm under the impression that if it does not say oil dye then it is an alcohol based dye. For some reason I think they label all oil dyes but I might be wrong.
  7. I'm a 7 times the length of the run guy when using saddle stitching...Seems to work for me.

  10. Chrisash...The boiled Linseed oil is what I had laying around...Its kind of a natural finish. Yes the lever has a cam on the end of it to open the jaws...Push down and it opens up.
  11. I purchased a stitching clam at an auction a few months ago, ($65.00) finally decided to do a partial restore. Buffed / rubbed it out with steel wool an added 2 coats of boiled linseed oil and glued some scraps to the clam jaws I've been to several auctions in the last 20-25 years and these are rare in my opinion. I bout wet myself at $65 bucks. 28-1/2" Tall
  12. Glued some scraps to the bottom of my sad irons, to keep from marking up material. (I use these for weights) Now I need to smith up some handles.
