Nice. Those are on the endangered species list here. I killed one 5’6” 25 years ago and had to hide the skin when I found out.

Black Mamba wheel gunbelt.
Thescandall replied to Thescandall's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks. The holster material is different than the belt. I don’t know what it is. 16.99 a sqft. Durable stuff tho. The regular embossed from Tandy is cheap but is a good 4-5 oz. -
I’m kinda outa commission spiritually . I somehow got bells palsey. ( my face is melting ) and have just been hiding. Decided to get out in the shop and create something. 12 oz. 8 + 4 oz liner. Put some of that snake print in it with a liner to back it up. I used my airbrush to kindamake it look this way Blaaah. Oh well I like it. I made another one too. Black mamba. Don’t tread on me. I’ll post it up soon.

Flatbed Table Attachment for Techsew 2750

I love the one Barbara makes for my 5100. Makes a huge difference installing and removing. She is a California attorney and I’m sure she changed the photo quick. -
The original greased pig sewing machine!
Thescandall replied to Flatcapper's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I used my tractor to lift mine. Strap around the machine and bucket. I had to put the stand in the shop and lift the Techsew 5100 thru the double doors. Those suckers are heavy. Once connected I wheeled it into place. I’m sure not everyone has a tractor and shop but I could not have done it any other way by myself.. -
I think its great. I’ve been wanting to make one as well.

I found one of these used and it needs a new nylon roller. Does anyone know if replacements are available. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255554934023?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A16a3Pld1zRfq5YHIknSv2aw54&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=255554934023&targetid=1587268788857&device=m&mktype=&googleloc=9027816&poi=&campaignid=15275224983&mkgroupid=131097072938&rlsatarget=pla-1587268788857&abcId=9300697&merchantid=137749860&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh81l1NLbgU0G40vGye4fY_S6&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvcro37C8-AIVkSc4Ch2fUwV-EAQYByABEgKkhfD_BwE

I found the Ecoflo scarlet water based matches the thread great. Just a couple coats and then tankote on top. -

ok i found the scarlet and got a red also. its nice having a Tandy 15 minutes from the house in Pasadena texas. i guess i should have waited a few more minutes before going and picked up some purple too. will report back with results a little later.. This tandy store is a small hole in the wall but has plenty of stock on leather and supplies.. -

thanks Fred.. im out the door and headed to my local tandy to shop around.. i should probably leave my wallet at home.. that place can get expensive for someone like me. i didnt even think about scarlet. -
im making a belt for my daughter and it needs to be a crimson color. i bought some #207 crimson thread and its just perfect.. my question is im trying to match the color to it now.. oxblood is the starting point i guess.. should i mix red with it or maybe wine. i can see a huge mess coming unless someone has tried this before and has any input to help me shorten the learning curve..

on my Techsew 5100, the part fit perfect first try. i do understand what your talking about when you say you havent had to remove it for any reason. i can get scary close to the edge of my material if needed. i put my factory set in a plastic box and forgot where i stashed it already. i see no reason to ever change it back.. love this little improvement.

Techsew 5100 back stitch problems
Thescandall replied to ZacharyR's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I have no reason to go back to the original set. It’s in a drawer somewhere now. I’m sewing from #69 thread to 277 and I know I can go bigger if need be. I noticed my 111w155 has a similar set of dog and plate style and I’m able to do the same work on my 5100 now. -
Hair on clutch purse.

That’s fantastic. I’ve never sewed hair on. -
Techsew 5100 back stitch problems
Thescandall replied to ZacharyR's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I love my 5100.. got the narrow dog and it’s a stitching machine now. Thing will poke holes in diamonds now. -
That was the problem. It lifts correct now. It needs to be a little higher while sewing but now that I followed the worm hole to the older posts I gathered a lot of useful info. And the actual readable singer manual is great. All the other ones I have are blurry and not complete. Thanks.
