    Cliche

Those look pretty sharp. I have yet to make one, but need to. Thanks for sharing your design. Really like it.
  3. Great tooling work on that! Does it make the bill much heavier where it wants to ride down while wearing?
  4. That flag looks outstanding!!
  5. I am no expert, but would guess any attempt to remove the felt will damage it.
  6. I was addressing your concern about digitizing your patterns. Thought you may be able to use the same software I mentioned.
  7. @Tim Schroeder Thanks for the inspiration on building a tool holder for my stamps, etc. I took 12" long pieces of 2x4 and laminated them together to get 24ish inches wide. I then placed a piece of 1/4" plywood on top and drilled the holes (lots of drilling - nearly 300 holes), then used 3/4" Knotty Alder x 4" around the border. Not real happy with the way the miter edges turned out on the Alder, nor the chipping along the top of the plywood when I ripped it, but it is serviceable. The below video captures the holder as I am loading it with stamps. I think it is sped up by 6 times normal.
  8. I would say 4-6 oz veg tan. Either find some already dyed green or dip dye it. For the record, I have never made a back pack, but have worked with that weight veg tan and it has good rigidity. Good luck.
  9. I think I could make a couple king size comforters with the scrap pieces I have. Can't seem to part with them. Good use of scrap for sure.
  10. Looking good. You must be getting the same weather we are. Not much precipitation, but ice on roads is never fun.
  11. What takes place during the week? I am only about 3 hours away. Might be able to make a trip there if it intrigues me.
  12. Sharp looking belt. I also like the blue thread, really dresses it up.
  13. Carving some leaves...thought I would record it.
  14. Using a program Visio, I was able to quickly, and I mean quickly do this. I simply took a pic with a ruler for reference, and was able to transform the carving area for future use. I didn't look into it very deeply, but it looks like you could get an annual subscription for $60. There is also a professional edition for several hundred.
  15. Thanks @YinTx I rubbed it down with NFO a couple of times, the leaves I dyed buckskin, and the acorn tops and background a golden brown. Thanks @chuck123wapati Thanks @doubleh
  16. Sorry to hear about your thumb. The stamping looks great and nice even covering on dye as well.
  17. Welcome from SW Missouri. Looking forward to seeing some of you leather work. Got any pics of the book cover you can share?
  18. My new EDC. I have been waiting until I got my shop setup to get this underway. I went with more of a natural color. Doubled up two 6 oz. Hermann Oak layers and added some oak leaves.
  19. How do you get the butter flavor out? LOL. I thought you guys were talking about packing popcorn made of foam.

    Hi!

Welcome from SW Missouri. Can't wait to see some of your work, be it leather or metal.
  21. Beautiful work, my friend.
  22. man oh man. That is stunning. Don't know how I missed it when you posted. Glad I was able to witness this beauty!
  23. That's a great idea. I will normally just lay it flat on my granite stone and rub the edge with a piece of canvas after dabbing on some Tokonole.
