  1. I have never used heat. I always case it and smack the stamp with a mallet. My stamp has a screw -in handle to make it easier. I do have a larger stamp that is used with my Harbor Freight Arbor Press.
  2. if it is a 1911, yes. Barrel length may be different, as well as the trigger guard.
  3. Here is an example of the Coat of Arms I made for my son. It is 11x14"
  4. I found some very small bevelers and they help out when beveling tight cuts. I think I found mine on Etsy. I know Barry King sells some steep and small bevelers as well, just didn't want to spend the extra for BK. The one's I got work well for tight spots.
  5. Stunning work. great looking knife.
  6. I need a wood shop to create something similar. Will be looking for ideas soon. Getting ready to build a shop, hope to have it done by end of year.
  7. Nice work. glad you are on the mend. PT works wonders, if the patient is willing. Glad to see you are.
  8. Great job on the tooling. Amazing what we can make out of a piece of scrap. Nicely done.
  9. Great job on grouping the leaves in the corner, then coming out from there with them. Nice design. Something to consider on the next one...may want to have the circled parts below so they don't show the flesh side of the leather. Maybe cut an additional piece the same size as the flap and sandwich the ring in between. You also may want to touch up that thread end with a lighter. Love the colors too.
  10. Carving looks great. Well done.
  11. Love seeing your work, my friend. Great job as always. Those sheaths are beautifully done.
  12. hahahaha....I thought this was about a Polish (as in Poland) hammer...wondered how they made 'em different.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Definitely a lot you can find here as well as share. Wonderful work on that quiver.
  14. what didn't you like about it? When was the last time you used one? They have made upgrades. Not saying I would buy one either, they are pricey...I just have the luxury of borrowing one.
  15. Inkscape is available for computers, but not on Android. Not sure if it's availabe on Apple. Free. Works well.
  16. I have the luxury of "borrowing" a Glowforge. It can do awesome engraving, but has issues cutting 4-5 oz or thicker leather. There are better solutions for cutting, just don't know what the best is for both.
  17. Always good information from Leodis Leather. Sometimes he is a little long in getting to the point, but always great information.
  18. Fabulous detail on tooling. Agreed, what a beautiful piece.
  19. I would just antique it to show off those carved lines you so carefully created.
  20. Good choices. Great work!!!!
