  1. Welcome to the forum from SW Missouri. I will be relocating to a new shop before the end of the year and have a blank slate. Please share how you set up your workspace...pics always welcome.
  2. Very impressive. I love the detail in the carving and the subtle contrast in color. Looks great!
  3. That looks great @Brokenolmarine. Basket weave is clean for sure. Anxiously awaiting the finished result. Might I suggest starting a new post thread for it so it doesn't get missed.

    Art ?????

Off to a great start. Agree with @Frodo, I really like the unique shape to them. It is obvious what you carved, meaning I can tell what they are. Great job. The only thing I could think to add would be more cut lines, like adding fur to the bear by making small cuts to give it more definition.
  8. Oh, how many things i have made for my granddaughter...and how many things she has helped me make. What a wonderful gesture. She will enjoy that immensely. Beautifully done.
  9. Very impressive. I am glad you were able to find the information needed to complete the task. And more importantly that you were able to get pics along the way and share them with us. Nice project. Love the ingenuity!!
  10. Nice work. Should last for years to come.
  11. Ash would be a good choice. Make sure it is a hardwood. Welcome to the forum from SW Missouri.

  15. Not sure how I missed the original post, but glad it popped back up. that is fantastic work!
  16. My condolences, Stewart. May God comfort you!!
  17. WOW! That turned out awesome! I am sure she loves it.
  18. Praying for you and Lois. Unfortunately we don't have an infinite time in these bodies. But while we have them we can definitely be a blessing to those whom we have contact. You will now be surrounded by an entirely new group of folks where you and Lois can bless them with your presence and kind words. Life IS ever changing. There will be bouts of happiness and pain, but JOY is something to hold onto.
  19. Love the contrasting colors. I am guessing plenty of waterproofing too.

Nicely done. I really like the color you chose as well.
  21. That's pretty cool, @Frodo. How do you connect them all together?
  22. Quite a start there. Well done. Looks like an episode of Gunsmoke going on in the background. Nice job on adding the MS state to the top of the natural one.
  23. Very patriotic indeed. Happy Independence Day to all. Be safe out there.
  24. Very nice. Did you cut in the checkers too? Well done.
