My two cents ...........
I have used a plane for wood most of my working life . It is a wonderful tool but it is more than a sharp blade and with many adjustments it is not real easy to learn . You may have wonderful luck with one but for me it is not a skiving tool . You'll find the sole in your way for most skiving work .

I have no critiques but I do have a question . Are the tops stitched down or just across the pic pockets ? Are they even pic pockets ?

Only critique is for customer , I hope he never has to use his pistol for a couple of reasons . In todays world the prosecution ( even in Montana ) might have a field day because of it .
Local cattle auction ( sale barn ) is a good bet for leather items provided the owners will allow you to set up in the parking area . Cowboys and cowgirls don't mind paying for quality !!!!
