  1. If you got the funds, buy a juki cylinder arm. Then buy or build a flatbed table top for it.
  2. Nice! Only if it could talk? Imagine the stories to be told.
  3. Idk if a narrow feed dog & plate could help eliminate some of your stitching issues. As mentioned the diamond point or LR point needles, don't seem to pull the stitches down as deep as a S point needle.
  4. Nice work. They look great! Looks like you are on the way to a great adventure. Btw: Welcome to the group.
  5. This is my ugly art work off my phone. But add the height you want to the top of the pattern. Hopefully you can see/understand what I mean.
  6. Why can't you add the heighth on the top of the hat pattern like you want. Then just modify the top part of the pattern/cap. It will be a bit smaller at the top, but keep the headband size unchanged.
  7. I think you are going to get puckering, regardless of the needles you use. You can try stepping down a needle size. What needle size & point style of needle are you using? You can massage the puckering with a hammer or bone slicker or both.
  8. Also don't loose the springs on the 2 screws.
  9. Lacing chisel looks soo much better I think personally.
  10. Also another thing I forgot to mention, sometimes it's the leather quality/brand that can have uneven dying/splotchiness. I had a really nice looking imported veg-tan that did that to me in 1 part of the side I bought.
  11. How long has the bottom example been drying? If I dip using fiebings pro dye, it takes a good 12hours, sometimes more to fully dry out. I've had no luck using a dauber. I dip dye if I can.
  12. Nice work. It looks great! Yeah TomE has got me aspired to try some new things.
  13. Nice, looks great! I got a similar project like that, if I ever get to it.
  14. I bought a few round end punches & a few oblong punches. & a 1¾ English point punch. Yes I could do the same as you mentioned, but the punches really helped with speeding up my productivity. I also think they help with a better looking project in the end.
  15. Look at a consew 206rb5 sewing machine see if it's close. I know somebody here will probably know what it is. Lmao you might wait for them to reply. Cause I am a newbie to machines.
  16. Why ain't stitching a option?
  17. Nice work! It looks great. I really like the blue thread as well. Simple & Classy!
  18. Anvil we need a picture.
  19. No problem. I thought maybe that might have been affecting your start up speeds. So figured I would mention it. Lol I am a newbie rookie when it comes to machine sewing & machine mechanics. Thanks to all the great professionals on here that help out.
  20. Tom I got the newer servo motor setup on my Cobra class 26. It is plenty slow at start up. Is there a reason your servo motor is loose & missing a nut & washer. Here is how mine is. Apparently you have yours took apart at the moment.
  21. Nice work!
  22. I haven't used either of these clickers. But myself would want the heavier Tandy unit. Aluminum & steel don't play together good in a long term situation as in the dream factory unit. I think the extra weight of the Tandy would also help in clicking out your pattern/piece.
  23. Nice work. It looks great. Really like your edge treatment with the lacing.
  24. Looks great. Nice craftsmanship.
