  1. Thanks !! Let me add a side note here: I did three layers of super sheen on the skulls and fleur de lis with a brush. I used eco flo Dk cocoa brown on the eyes and noses. Then i used the eco flo antique gel TAN over the rest.
  2. We moved a few weeks ago and i'm still hunting for stuff that's in a box somewhere. I've been itching to do something . So just minutes after the slab hit the work table i had to beat on some dead cow. Lacing this one gave me a little bit of a hard time. To many turns i guess, it felt like it took forever. Beaver i don't know how you do all that lacing man. My neck and shoulder are sore just from this little notebook. I did all the carving then invert beveled the skull in after all the wood grain lines were done. This time i used fabric for the linning, have no idea how well it will hold up or stay glued, but it sure looks cool. There it is people. My jones has been fixed for now. Now i gotta unpack the rest of the leather room, then it's off to the garage. Man, i hate everthing about moving !!!!!!!!!

  4. You don't have to show me but if you you want to type a sentence or two. I've never done it and have thought a few times of adding color to the lace. I've always just thought of putting some dye in a bowl and running the lace thru it a time or two. Not sure what you'de do about rub off though.
  5. Nice wallet man !! Love a blood red and black combo. Also love the look of the frog and red lace. Do you dye the lace yourself or what ?? If so care to share how ?
  6. Those are very , very nice. LOve the look , color and the stamping !! I've used a fair share of the eco-flo dyes . I've learned this makes a huge diff in using a finish. Buff the piece well before you add your super sheen or satin, then add it. Buff well again with a piece of wool. Add another coat of finish and buff well again then a third coat of finish and buff one last time. The key is not so much the 3 coats of finish put you must buff well between coats.
  7. I don't have one . so i'll be happy to use that one Johanna. Thanks **freak goes out and stands by the mailbox waiting**
