  1. Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll get more response here from the guys in the know!
  2. Reduce the picture's file size. See this thread for some helps. Plus there is loads of help on the web.
  3. Seems to work fine. What device and browser are you using? I would say something on your device is giving problems. In this box, I see the smiley face in the middle of the row of formatting stuff at the top like this screen shot.
  4. Moved your post to saddle construction.
  5. Moved to "wanted"
  6. Moved your post to "Wanted"
  7. I've tried to bleach out the sun tan on pieces of vegtan where part of the hide had been exposed to sun while stored. Used oxalic acid at varying strengths, up to a really strong mixture where no more crystals would dissolve. It doesn't bleach out! Some of the marks from what I can see looks like the natural wrinkles in the hide. They look good and as said, are natural. Again, you won't be able to get rid of them either.

  11. Some more info for you about posting photos. See this link for resizing files. Also there is much more information and tools on the web for resizing photos. And see this link with some info about heic files.
  12. See this link for some helps on resizing photo files, plus lots more info on the web. And some info on heic photo files
  13. Canada is a large place! Identifying at least the province is a good idea when dealing in a world wide forum. The IP address resolves to host-24-222-188-221.public.eastlink.ca Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, B4C, Canada
  14. If you want to sell a machine, post it in the marketplace forum. This is not a for sale forum. https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/69-marketplace/
  15. You can resize your photo files so they fit the restrictions here. See this link. Many more helps and methods/software is available on the web.
  16. You need to resize your files to fit, or set your device to save smaller files. Also need to save them in jpg or other supported files on this site. I replaced and resized your file in jpg format. heic files are not supported here. They are a proprietary apple format. Many users here will not open unknown files, so you are limiting your ability to sell your machine or communicate with others if you post heic photo files here. See this link for some helps on resizing photo files. There is lots more help on the web. See this link for info on hiec files.
  17. A "Guest" (IP 207.162.218.5 Louisville, Kentucky, 40223) submitted this comment via the "report" system. I would suggest to "Guest" that they join leatherworker.net so they can actively participate in more subjects and posts. "This Skiver looks a lot like the one I purchased. It is a Hamlin Bell Skiver made in Lynn, MA"
  18. 800x600 or 1024x768 are adequate. A lot of users are on tablets or phones, don't even see that large a view. Can post lots of photos if you squeeze them to near these dimensions. Also good for people in the fringes of the internet that have very low download speeds.
  19. The IP address resolves to 51.158.101.148.d.dyn.claro.net.do San Pedro de Macorís, San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic
  20. Be kind to your fellow users here. Post your photos here. 3rd party photos tend to go missing due to 3rd party changing policies, owner changing location or deleting files, etc. There are many tools available to resize photos. Check this link. Lots more tools on the web. When these 3rd party links are broken, much of the post or thread becomes useless to others that come along later and try to make sense of the thread. You will see a number of threads where the photos have gone!
  21. @Wizcrafts I think you may have mentioned this tape.
  22. Late to the show here, but 1/2 teaspoon to 1 pint of water for next time you use it.
  23. Moved to Leather Sewing Machines
  24. Replaced one with a nail long ago. Cut trimmed, and smoothed it out so it would fit and slide nicely.
