  1. Bill. I have the 205-370 SEWMO that i bought from Industial Sewing Sales in Ohio. It is a fine machine. saddle repair, holsters and knife sheaths and heavy duty bags. I have had no problems with it. Don or Darrin has been very helpful with my questions about the operations of it.

  10. Back in the 60's i really wanted a Leather Visor, but with a wife and a newborn ,$19.00 for a leather ... no way to spend my money. Some one told me about a leathercraft store, it was Tandy. Went there bought a visor kit, one tool (#616) bottle of dye, made a lot of visors. then wrist bands, then belts. The Mgr. HARRY BANDY (GOD REST HIS SOUL) taught me how to lace. and that started me doing bilfolds....... and the rest is history.. and never had any regrets about doing it , or wanting to do any thing else.Execpt take care of my family, work to retirement . and have fun and be happy..... ask Regis or Mike G....

  14. ARE YOU USEING AN OSBOURN RELVOVING PUNCH?? IF YOU ARE, IMHO. IF I HAD A LOT OF HOLES TO PUNCH I WOULD BE USEING A round drive punch. it will work a lots better. AND USE A END GRAIN BLOCK OF WOOD.

  16. IT MIGHT HELP SOME, TO KEEP A BLOCK OF PARAFIN HANDY AND EVER SO OFTEN MAKE A FEW PUNCHES INTO THE PARAFIN. THAT WILL MAKE A SLICK SURFACE FOR THE PUNCHED LEATHER TO SLIDE OUT OF THE TUBES.
  17. REGIS, when i do my Canteens, they are not in the mold over 30 min. i do blow them with a heat gun, and i will not start the sewing untill the next day. Now if i was in a hurry i could start working on the molded item, but a lot of handling, i would loose some of the molded shape.
  18. Mike , Have you thought about buying the AL STOLHMAN BOOK "THE ART OF HAND SEWING LEATHER". This was one of the best books of information that i have bought. Another time i took an order over the phone from my wifes friend's husband, a tooled belt with his Name on it. He measured the old belt precisley, HOW IN THE H....L did i know that other folks spell 'JOHN'...............'JON'..... THAT HAS NEVER HAPPEND AGAIN....
  21. ED.... EURAKA YOU HAVE FOUND IT... now everybody will want that color. you have the original "BRITTISH TAN" look . :-). lol. that is not a bad color, very professional looking. and i do like what i saw on the screen that leather looks to me like it has the firmness to give the bag support.

  23. congraluations on your decision. There are other machines to get, But the items that you will be making, the Boss will serve you well. What are you going to mount the machine on ? Mine is mounted on a singer 29-4 sewing machine stand,it is at a very comfortable working height. Remember small thin items, small thread and small needles.
