    Aaron you are on the right track... If the Hide is tanned, remoce the loose scales glue the hide to the belt strip, then procede to lace. yes i do not think that the snake skin will be a durable piece of leather. BUT IT IS GOING TO LOOK GREAT .

    Peter did the Wet leather expand just as easy with the plastic bags as it would with sand? I have been useing sand, but it is another day for it to dry after washing the sand out

    if you have more money than time and if you are not too handy with WOOD, then i would say , you are getting a fair deal... I would not make it for $100.00 $200.00 and up would be my price.

    PREFERD FINISH.?.......Just a thought, apply a resist to the Lions and Antique the background. over a period of time the Lions will darken. Nice Carving.

    ED, something i would do is to mount the Machine to a piece of Heavy plywood, this will help to keep the machine very stable, in A VERY HEAVY CARDBOARD BOX. two boxes together, fill all aeras with styrafoam..

    ED.. you can get the same table or one like it at your neighbor hood home ctaft store. in Memphis it is Loews or Home Depot.......SAVE ON THE SHIPPING I HAD ONE LIKE IT AND IT WORKED GREAT. ALSO AT YOUR OFFICE SUPPLY ARE TABLES LIKE THAT.
