  1. thanks guys!! i'm just glad i didn't screw it up
  2. here it is!! i tried to get a couple shots from the side to show the purple. you can see it in bright light but, not as well in the pics. as always critiques are always welcome
  3. very cool piece!! i like the embossed skull and lifted feather tips
  4. i got mine from jeff mosby. www.greyghostgraphics.com
  5. Thanks for all the compliments!!Art, i have never needed to sew the seams. i use roo lace and keep it pulled tight and have not seen one come apart yet.BTW... i got a meesage from the customer and there will be some purple and gold in this one. he doesn't care if it clashes LOL! closer before or after color?
  6. not sure on the colors yet. the seat will prolly get one of my tan to black fades. the bike is dark blue with black flames so, purple would not work. he didn't seem to want the LSU to stand out too much so, it may be dark blue and tan. i finally got the cover on and the tiger done. hope i did it justice! this was my first real attempt. finished seat to follow in a couple days. BTW... as you can see the seat is still wet from molding the cover. i was dying to get some color on the tiger
  7. thanks for sharing your idea!! it gets me thinking for sure! one of the few things i need my stitching horse for are really too large for it.after seeing what you came up with i think i'll try and make up a vise similar to what you've made to mount on my horse. i really only need to be 16" or so
  8. thanks guys!! tina... i was told you may be able to offer some insite as to how to color the tiger
  9. not sure what sort of color work i'm going to do yet.
  10. i was fine with what they had. i don't think they need an online store at all. the simple site they have (UPDATED) with an updated pdf cataloge. ordering by email or fax is the only way i will do business. i don't have the time to spend on the phone and i won't waste my time with them till they update the cataloge
  11. yes, the spacing and distance from the edge should be the same as the width of the lace
  12. been thinking about you kevin! thanks for popping in and giving us a heads up. contiued prayers for you and your dad
  13. not a bad first bag. for the next one put your lacing holes closer together and closer to the edge. for example... 1/8" lacing your holes should be 1/8" from the edge and 1/8" between the holes
  14. nothing better or stronger as far as i'm concerned. i use aluminum large diameter head rivets. if you can see or feel the rivets, then they may be the wrong legnth. they are made different legnths for different grip ranges.
  15. we.... first off 9oz leather is way heavy for your seat. 3-4oz would have done the job just fine. pop rivets would be the best way to secure the cover. peacards leather dressing is what i use on all my seats.
  16. good looking tank bib art! one thing i have not played with yet are spots. really finishes things off
  17. i like it! i ran out of foam and used a walmart mat not too long ago. it's closed cell foam grump and works rather well
  18. looking good! nice job on the feathers
