  1. Nice work all together...edges, forming, stitching, finish, color. I just made one for my Kershaw and now i am looking to buy another knife just to make a sheath for it...lol.. Thanks for posting !!!
  2. +1 on the 16in arm...i was ready to buy the CB3500 and i went for the 4500 in the last minute..i am happy i did !!! I drove all the way to Toledo as it was cheaper for me, then to have it shipped over.
  3. Just visited your web-site...love your work !!! I made a bracelet a while ago inspired by your style...Thanks !!!
  4. I did skive it a bit...i really love those clasps..lol...
  5. It left a mark already...but unless the knife is out of the sheath you can't see it.The leather i used is a bit thicker then it suposed to be, i guess, and the clip is pressing realy hard on it too...at least i know it's not gonna come out by itself...lol...
  6. Had the knife for a while now and wanted for the longest time to make one of these formed sheats. With all the info from here and some YouTube clips this is what i came up with...way better then i was expecting....lol... Now i need some expert opinions...critiques are more then welcomed !!! Thanks !
  7. I would sell both of them and get a walking foot ! no question about it...
  8. lol...I said the same thing about my Boss when i got the CB4500 about 8-9 months ago and never touch it since. I am having a hard time selling the Boss...i guess it has a sentimental value for me...been together for about 8 years ....lol... If you are planing on working something on the spot at shows it might be worth keeping...otherwise you are not gonna miss it !!!
  9. Cobra skin glued on an 8oz , 1/2in wide. Nothing special but it's got a nice visual impact. Any feedback is more then appreciated ! Thanks !
  10. The foot came with the machine just the way you see it in the video. That's pretty much the only foot i am using...
  11. Hope this helps... The stitching was done with a similar machine to yours,a Cowboy CB 4500, using the "reverse" feature. I came up with the vid. just because i thought it ws easier then explain the whole proces in writing/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o8_VeAH5fQ&edit=ev&feature=uenh
  12. This is something new (somehow)..I put together ..pretty much same design but different hardware and set-up. This is a derivation of another design i came up with a while ago , i meant to make, but never had the time . Critiques are more then welcomed !!! I used the Cowboy CB4500 to stitch them..so far very happy with the machine ...love the reverse and the long arm ! Thank you !
  13. If your patterns are under 12in/24in i can proabbaly have them done for you. Just pm me exactly what you want and will take it from there
  14. The belts i think are worth more then $45, but because at shows people are looking for bargains, i think they are priced right..Both products are well made , so whoever apreciate the quality will pay the money in a heart beat . Good luck !!!
  15. I would probably use a flat chisel for the long sides and a narrow craft blade (looks similar to a flat chisel) for the smaller sides of the rectangular
  16. I am glad you noticed the unfinished edges and the off-set cut-outs...both were done on purpose..lol...i was going more for a "rugged look" then an "elegant" one...i thought it might add a bit of caracter to it. I do have few of Spinner's edgers...great little tools and great custumer service too !!! i am using them on my belts and i am very happy with the results Thanks !
  17. I actually made these bracelet a while ago...just stumble over the picture again today and decided to post it here for some input. I 've made a collar in the past ...similar design..and i thought it would look cool as a bracelet too. The leather is 10oz veg-tan and the linning/inlay is a 2-3oz snake print. Te bracelet is 1.75in wide Stitching was done with #138 on a 111 type sewing machine Any comments are more then welcomed . Thank you
  18. Very nice work !!! simple and clean .Nice work on the edges !!!
  19. I had the Boss for over 8-9 years...very good machine ...very happy !!! I just bought the CB 4500...even happier !!! If i were you i would go straight for the CB 3500(or even the CB 4500) if the money is an issue. There is a saying..."I am too poor to buy cheap things". Although in my oppinion the Boss is a great machine , it has it's limitations .
  20. Because the 2 plates are held together by screws, i can actually put a shim inbetween, make the slit wider and probably use thin rods too..i am gonna give it a try one of these days' Also i can probably have a leather sleeve that goes on the metal band, then slide it in the die and form the belt keeper. This way the top of it will be wraped in leather.I'll post some pics soon as i'll have one done
  21. Any harness hardware shop would have them.If you can't find one near you just let me know
  22. Those ones i bought...lol...But they can probably be made too if a thinner brass rod would be used.I think i might give it a try.
  23. I started with a Boss about 7 years ago for heavy work from Ryan Neel. Drove all the way the to pick it up ...about 6-7 hours away...Bought a Tacsew T111-155 type for light work..not the best machine out there but it paied for itself so i am happy. Just bought a Cowboy 4500 few mothts ago and although i am very happy with the machine(outperforms the Boss) and very happy with the sevice(Bob Kovar) i will never sell my Boss or my light duty machine . I would probably replace the T111-155 copy with a better machine but never be without one like it. Having different mahines for different jobs is great..saves time and aggravation. I do leather work as a hobby !
