  2. Hello Guys! The "pestering" girl is back with a "HOT" question for you :D and i will be really glad to hear your opinion on that one. between what i see, what i hear around me and what i have read in AL's books i am really curious now . WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE BACK JOCKEYS??? technical? historical? impact on the weight of the saddle? esthetic? for the "fun"? (i do not believe in that one) some say you do not need them some say you need them so i ask : why? when? how? thanks to anyone who answer that question
  3. Just a terrific/amazing piece of work both for the tooling and the assembly ! Congrats!
  4. here is a first for me : a side pull for one of my customer following her technical specifications made of Burgundy latigo nose band => latigo / chaps leather + a strip of foam for the horse comfort Horse shoe buckle stitching + rivets = > sure as hell won't tear here... it was a bit of "a pain in the butt " to stitch all those small parts but it was worth it : i find it simple and classy....just waiting pics of the horse wearing it but the customer was really happy
  5. Hi guys! and here the #7 ARABIAN saddle tree with all the "trimmings" : back cinch, tapaderos and knife on the billet :D
  6. #6 is finished => a Bowman roper i ve built #6 and #7 at the same time (pics of #7 are coming) and 1st time i did 2 fork covers and 2 seats without any troubles, without wasting a single piece of leather! and, this is not any longer or difficult to build 2 saddles at once
  7. Cool CW ! thanks for the explanation! can't remember the size of my stamp going to try that! and i will go for YOUR way....cause i am pretty sure it will work for me batter i will let you know the result
  8. I vote for it! especially about the way you paint it i find the paint job amazing
  9. hum, i would vote for welt or lacing.... reminds me of the Legcut bowman i had ......Keith Siedel told me it was "possible" to cover it without welt or lacing (see one of his legcut bowman covered without welt) I can tell you = i tried , failed and gone at last for the welt..... i guess you can do it if your piece of leather is really really really stretchy .....and even though....not sure it would do Good luck and do not forget : If Plan "A" did not work....the alphabet has 25 more letters ...so stay cool" :D
  10. cool saddle! congrats to Rod for the job done and Denise for the "moral support"
  11. Nice job CW ! and i find your stamping nice! i bought that stamp last year in Sheridan but still not had much time to give it a good try and find a way to do that pattern.
