A dehumidifier and fans would certainly not hurt.. I went through many storms and hurricanes when I lived in the Key;s for over 40 years. To protect against mold we would sometimes use an Ozone generator as well .. Here in Tennessee in my spare garage I use an A/C and fans .

Look in to a 441 clone .. It is for sewing heavy leather items and parts are easy to locate ..

I have a bunch of Amish friends that do not use electricity and they sew on 441 machines. They use a set of peddles and one fella that I know has a manual 3 speed car transmission hooked to the sewing machine. During the summer I have seen them take a blade from an old box fan and attach it to the flywheel to move air across them as well.

We use a piece of leather flesh side up. Rub it down with bee's wax and then sprinkle with aluminum powder on the other end we rub red rouge it keeps our knives very sharp ..

As we manufacture products for the aftermarket crowd for Harley and Indian I did locate the source for the Indian leather.. They will not sell as they have an exclusive contract with Polaris .We are currently working with a few tanneries to match the color and types of leather that we are looking for.

Way to expensive they sent me a couple samples.

I have an Artisan 3000 which has been a great machine. Recently the servo motor started acting up. Blinking light instead of solid. Un plug for a minute or so then it would reset and work fine for weeks, months. Today the dreaded light started blinking and it will not reset. I since called Artisan and they are sending out a new and improved motor and board. My question is has anyone had any experience repairing a board or the other speed part as I believe the motor to still be good I would like to have a spare .. It has a model listed as ACF-500c .. Thank you ..

We have one in our shop and I use it everyday for setting line 24 snaps and small rivets. It works well and is very handy.

As I have never seen this I would say it is a custom made stamp . It looks to be a Pan head motor ..

I have the one from Beilers for a couple of years now and love it like all of the tools that Dan makes. I will tell you that it is built very well and will last you forever ..

Can you tell me what size spacers you have ? Located in Cookville Tn.

We have a lot of black latigo leather coaster blanks that are 3 1/2" in diameter. They are cut from 10-12 oz leather and are very clean struck through.. I have an endless supply since this is primarily the type of leather that we use in our shop. We do make some coasters and it does emboss very nice and would imagine that heat or foil embossing would work vey well. Looking to get about .75 cent,s a piece, and if you need large amounts we can deal.. Thank You Larry

I have seen people do this with Belt Keepers. Poke the holes and then stitch by hand ..

We have these pounding boards that are about 2" thick. When they get all scarred up I take the belt sander to them. But I usually put a piece of scrap leather down first ,it helps keep my work from getting marked up and helps keep my punches in a little better shape.

I use a Weaver belt slot punch ,with a scrap piece of leather between the pounding board and the holster as this will keep the holster from getting marked up. We stitch around the slots when possible,after wet forming the holster I then take an awl,screwdriver,or dowl what ever is handy and rub the inside of the slots while still wet. Once dry I edge and sand but they are usually very smooth and uniform at this point.. Good Luck

We use that knot for attaching wide laces to our conchos. Also use what they call end cutting pliers to cut the slots..

Nail polish will work like loctite in a pinch..

We have both tools in our shop.. The one from Weaver wins hands down,we make a lot of belt,s and this tool is a life saver..

We go through a lot of Chicago screws and I have searched out pricing a couple times a year. Tandy seems to be the most reliable.. Same with line 24 snaps ..
