  1. Black Friday sale at Tandy- Picked up the Tandy press for $89.99. (in store only, over the weekend) Hoping to find dies somewhere other than Tandy. Die sets at their best discount are $60.00 and UP! ( maybe I should have looked at the Gold Star set up above first?) Picked a couple other advertised items too. Felt like I did ok. I was in Indianapolis IN at a family event- slipped away for an hour- sweet!
  2. Very cool- thanks for sharing! I do have a question "lead block for punching" - I have never seen that before. Would you explain how you utilize the lead block? ( i would have melted that down and used it for muzzleloading rifle round balls!) Thanks!
  3. Awesome work! Skeleton Eagle- sweet! No other bike in the parking lot looks like yours. Well done.
  4. Very Cool! Like the Skull- who's interior?
  5. Thanks for the input- I will save my money.
  6. very cool! First effort? Wow! BTW- hope you aren't hitting your tools with the Estwing hammer in the pic?
  7. Model #545-H4-6/01.... Craigslist find- I know- I have been reading the info on this site for a few weeks. Buy new, get a warranty. Service and support. I get it. I have watched u tube videos- border line obsessed. I actually had a chance to stop in at Nick-O sew in St Charles Mo. last Friday ( 4 hours from home). Looked at the impressive array of machines they had waiting for new homes. Got to drive a rebuilt/servo motor/cylinder arm ...pretty sweet. I have been saving my money...man- I am soooo tempted to go buy this machine. Even if I put a servo on it soon.....the money I will save. Besides, I am fairly mechanical. What could go wrong? Talk me down Wiz... http://images.craigslist.org/00Y0Y_dReoEy7LbRA_600x450.jpg

  10. I found this one recently in an antique store also. I would like to know more about it, Looks like it was set up for production? Cam lever on the side? I haven't tried using it yet, so I don't know if it is functional. sure looks cool though...functional or not. Yours is awesome! I would use it too. well, i will have to try again on the picture upload
  11. Shoe repair- Google search (yeah- I had no idea either)
  12. Looks great! Good design and work!
  13. Very cool! I like your work and finishing technique.....( I haven't had the nerve to try this yet- its on my list) Selling it or using it?
  14. My first question would be "why"? (I have trouble cleaning the bugs off of the stock fairing!) But I suppose its not that big of a deal- I had (still have) leather covered bags off of a 2004 Road King Custom-they held up and cleaned up well... Second- How did you attach the leather to the fairing? Very cool- Smooth job! Unique and original...
  15. Tandy stores are having a "Big Sale" this weekend - I purchased one of theirs- does a good job. $70.00 +/-if I remember correctly
  16. Sweet! Thanks. I am a fan of your work....
  17. Missed you and your work! Awesome! Glad you are "back".
  18. I just built a cutting table a couple of months ago. 2X4 and 2X6 construction.screwed, glued and doweled at the major joints. 36" wide 72" long...38" high (mounted on 4 lockable swivel castors). (your dining room table is probably 30" tall- kitchen counter top around 36" and a kitchen bar is usually around 40"/41"- for reference) 1/2' plywood for the top base- then regular 1/8" hardboard screwed (screws are flush with the surface) to that. I intend to trim the edges in the near future. I also plan on buying a very large - self healing cutting mat to work on...I am really enjoying having a dedicated space for layout and cutting..
  19. Great paperweight/conversation piece. I purchased one for $10.00. Have not found a "practical" use for it yet. Sure looks cool sitting in the shop.
  20. I received these from Springfield yesterday. Saw them on the site- added to my order on a whim. They were very inexpensive- I haven't done a lot of hand sewing/stitching. Looking forward to trying them out. Question Tugadude- how will you polish these? Thanks!
  21. Thanks- I am a year away from trying this one! Great detail, pics/tips.
  22. I'm with Colt- I feel like a third grader (skill level carving)- BEAUTIFUL WORK!
