  1. or tape stock to the gun for channels, mold kydex around gun, wrap in leather
  2. It needs to be smooth with no holes. You should be able to source a sink cutout from a local shop, or a defective headstone or...
  3. To me, it doesn't look like you need that much clearance.
  4. I took a look at the gun here https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/mp-bodyguard-380-crimson-trace The button appears to be recessed. If you recess your inside stitches and/or line the holster I don't see a problem. Or line it with 3/4 leaving a groove as mentioned before. You could also rivet the clip on. You can get into plating pretty cheap if you want. It's not for everyone.
  5. I would grind down a clip to the width I need and replate it, cause I can, or use some other finish that I had on hand.
  6. Thank you for giving the rest of us a couple of ideas that may help us out in a similar situation.

  10. What is the expected traffic count? If you use snaps instead of rivets you can give them choice of buckle, assuming you stock more than one style. If you don't stitch them, you can cut to size and punch your holes (billet end) on the spot. Have a few stitched belts on hand to display for custom order.
  11. If you are in the USA http://springfieldleather.com/Leather/Tooling?page=1 You can get double shoulder, a bend or a back; all will give you good belt blanks.

  14. Many years ago I watched a guy sew a sail at the dock on a portable machine. I do not see the need for a 7' table. Having a foot or so to the right of the machine to store full bobbins, screwdrivers etc is good. The size of the throat is more of a limiting factor then how much room you have on the left of the needle. As for the hole for the machine, you should be able to make your own template. Use a CAD (cardboard aided design program.
  15. Partially burn a branch, let it get cold, barely dampen the leather and rub the leather on the soot?
  16. Desktop is awful, mobile needs improvement Compress the images if you haven't already. Use this tool to help you improve it if you want: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jlsleather.com%2Fgallery%2Fmore-leather%2F&tab=desktop
