I have my ccw, but rarely carry. As my Dad used to say, it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
-
Hidecrafters had a whole mess of filigree punches in their catalog, don't know if they still carry them though.
-
That's cool, Chachi. Where did you get the buckle?

I haven't had a chance to do any roses this month, but here's a purse I did last year. Hey, it's got roses.

My memory's not working too well, but didn't someone here(Jbird ?) do a ranger belt with chicago screws to move the billet? -
Man, my truck isn't worth that much! They are cool, though.

Any time I've called, I've talked with Ron, and haven't had a problem with getting my stuff.

I've used Satin sheen and Leather Balm, both seem to hold up. -
Ending the Mexican Basket weave on a solo seat

When you're going into that third hole, point the needle straight up into the lacing, wiggle it until it starts moving, and it'll tell you when it's between the leathers. -

I just figured this out myself. The way I did it was to totally ignore the pictures, and let the words sink in, which is weird, because I usually get pictures faster. Just look at the flow of the lace up to that point, and keep that flow going. Make sense? -
Looks good, Bonnie, but I have to ask a non-horse person question. What does a wear leather do?
-
Ah, Roo, we knew her when...... Can i get your autograph?????

Thanks Crystal. They really are some potent magnets. -
Who are you rooting for in the SUPERBOWL?
Timd replied to Johanna's topic in All About Us and Off Topic
Well, since once again the Eagles failed to show up for a big game, I gotta stay in the state, and say Steelers. Did you hear why Donovan McNabb lost his Campbell's Soup deal? Every time he gets near a bowl he chokes!!! -

Tiny, I'm using Tandy's superior lace, 1/8". I use a stitching wheel to lay out the holes, then punch 3/32 holes. The cloth one was a treat, at first I just used the cloth, and it started fraying really bad, so I glued it to the 2oz. leather, and it worked. The magnets are pretty aggresive, they're 9 lb. I was carrying the black one in my front pocket, and got too close to a filing cabinet, and I got stuck....lol. Greybeard, thanks. -
Looks great, Holly. I like the color.

Thank you all. JB, it takes me probably an hour and a half or so.I really have to concentrate some nights, others it just flies..lol -
I finally have a break in the action, so I figured out the mexican braid. I'm still having some problems with corners and finishing, but that'll come. I've started making these money clips, and the braid works well with them. what do you think?

Here's a link for a belt where he says it will shrink 1" for 1' http://home.alltel.net/henryh/Leather-Belt.html so maybe figure add a 1/2"or so?
