  3. Hi Clay and Thanks:-) I think due to me being a "alien" and I did not grow up with the western style tradition the same way as an American, it might be easier for me to go outside the box??? My western tradition is Bonaza, High Caparall and Laredo O'boy did the native Americans have gorgeous horses on those shows :-) bustedlifter...I used one of the camoflage tools, number C431, verry simple but effective. Rayban...Belts, are you sure??? Well, I understand that would be optimal but I have to learn a bit more about straight cutting and tooling without warping before jumping head first again:-) DCKNIVES, bobocat, leatheroo, Thanks guys an gals, alwyas nice having support around you in your craft, makes you wanna take that plunge from time to time and make someting "unknown":-)
  4. Thanks guys, I just love doing these holsters...Just the right size and "easy fix" when urges is calling..I'm so happy you like'm:-) Darryl, You absolutly crack me up big time...Hubby wants to know "what's up" cuz I'm laughing out loud.
  5. I just finished of a holster and for the first time I did the sewing thingie....OUCH!!!!! Gazzillions of stiches that just hurt like s... nevermind that I'm using tape and all kind of protective stuff. The first picture is a holster for a remington 1858 something (this is not my area of knollage at all so bare with me) I had some "hair on cow" inlays and blac leather as lining. The patter is just stamped, basket weave and the color is dark redish brown. The secon is just how fare I've come so far with a skull holster for a S & W Shofield (7" barrel I think...I do not have the urge to run upstairs to check it out right now) I hope this one is going to end up OK, not sure yeat how to put it together, It'll come to me some day:-)
  6. Hi Davy. Very interesting technique you have with the stamps. I'm 4 one can not find anything to complain about... I do however find your work intriguing, it's very different from anyting I've seen before. It's always intersting when you see something so totally new, I find myself looking for the stamp that you've used and how. keep it up and if you can get bigger pictures :-) (I think I'm going blin too *S*)

  19. I tell you what, I wish I had a mashine too My fingers is getting hard stuff on them *Grrrrr*
  20. "LOL" This is just a crock of.... I'm a virgo and all it might means is that you're a perfectionist in your head, not necessary out to your finger tips - Hey, I'm talking by own experience here (ie: read the messy workspace thread) :-)
  21. A small question, Howcome you don't get a corset pattern...Any fabric store should have them and they're easy to manipilate to a style desired. I have made more than 100 real victorian corsets (spiral boning and all) and there is simply not enough pieces in the corset you have there to get a nice fit. it should be at least 10 pieces all around plus the ones holding the busk in the front and the eyelett part in the back. All my corsets were made of 4 layers of material + you'll also need to enforce some band in the waist. In the size it is made for it should also be double bonings to make sure it sits good...Millions of things to think about I know but making corsets is a small sience of sorts :-)
  22. Absolutly great, A piece of art. I had no idea these things is actually used besides seeing them in movies (yeah, I know I'm an alian )
  23. Great, it's going to be very interesting to see the progress:-)
