  1. I stand totally corrected. I apologise for my misunderstanding. Thanks for the education. I tried to edit my reply from earlier. All I could do was hide it. I think I only hid it from myself. @wiz, could you delete my earlier post so people aren't misinformed by my ignorance. Thanks.
  2. Nice, I found a bunch of interesting stuff from them. Thanks.
  3. So, I have made it thru the first disc. The education on using the safety skiver alone is worth the 50 bucks. I have always hated skiving and avoided it as much as possible. Especially with a safety or super skiver. Now that I know the mechanics of using it, I am looking forward to trying it again.
  4. Looks like machine is in California? (Just trying to help)
  5. That's not a bad try at all. You set your snaps really well. Your pattern looks good too. Most people will usually line after installing the snap to keep the blade from rubbing. Just keep learning and having fun.
  6. Mine was supposed to be here this Tuesday. And I like Maverick. Nstarleather has lots of SB boot for sale here on this site.
  7. Well Laughing Crow's Work Boot DVD has begun shipping (does invisible backflip). I received mine today. Yippppeeeee!!!! I just wanted to let everyone know that it is now available as a DVD, streaming subscription, or streaming rental. I, personally had to have a hard copy. For those who don't know, this is the first DVD of it's kind that I know of. I have wanted to make my own work boots for probably as long as I have been playing with leather. I searched high and low for information. There isn't a lot that is readily accessable for lasted boot making. Especially, when it comes to forming and fitting a last. These instructions empower us to make work boots with minimal tools and no lasts. How awesome is that?
  8. I have been wearing a belt for over a year now that has 4 line 20 snaps. Never had the first problem.
  9. Welcome aboard. Glad to have you.

  11. Check out Ohio Travel Bag or the Buckle Guy.
  12. What an awesome idea. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Well, you are starting out with the right attitude for sure. Welcome aboard. Here is a little thread I put together a few days ago. You can start off without a lot of tools and hardware. Don't invest a boatload of money in the beginning. See if you like it first.
  14. Yep, he's a bonafide master.
  15. Cool. I was about to suggest that video.
  16. I would like to try the ones from crimson hide that are like awl blades.
