  1. @Mark842 pencil me in for some pounds of that scrap when you get to it. Consew came home today. It will still be a few weeks before I produce anything though. Plus it looks like the side jobs are about to ramp back up.....
  2. That's quite a bit of stuff. Looks like you have enough sewing machines to get a military contract.
  3. @andrewsejlv , color me interested. Thanks. You and me both, brother.
  4. Great looking stuff. Can you tell us more about the laser. I had thought you were using a nice laser thru a co-op? And are you cutting out the pieces with the laser or just using it for stitching?
  5. Why yes, yes it is. It's a katana I got myself in Wyoming for my birthday. I'm not a hundred percent sure of the quality but it will slice thru a 1 inch sapling. Paid about 150 for it. It's no ancient artifact, but it's not a truck stop sword either. I also have a cold steel hybrid Cutlass and two Hawks tomahawk.
  6. I don't have much to offer, but in Stohlman's belt book he has them drawn about 10-12 inches long. If memory serves me correctly. I don't do any tooling myself.
  7. I don't work in that industry anymore. It sure was a fun job, though. Thanks.
  8. I sure hope so. I haven't played with a machine yet, at all. Hey, speaking of elevation, I got to spend some time in Evanston, Wyoming when I worked on wind turbines. Beautiful out that way.
  9. Thanks for posting that. I checked the site and I gotta say, looks like hand stitching to me. And, I'll also say, I wouldn't bat an eye at paying his asking price on those wallets. They are truly something for me to aspire towards. Just perfect looking.
  10. Update: I pick up my new to me consew 206rb-1 tomorrow. Brand new table and servo included for $400+tax. What a sweet deal.
  11. I have the 1/2-5/8 motor shaft version from pro-edge. It is mounted on a motor that is too fast. I keep planning to put it on something slower, but haven't yet. That being said, it is a very nice professionally built tool.
  12. I tried this topic awhile back and it went a little haywire. On the topic, I get to pick up a consew 206rb-1 with a new table and servo on Wednesday. Yeeeeehaaaaaaawwwww
  13. I'm changing the title to "Mark's 94 tins of Neat lac".
  14. If version 2 is in the top picture, I would try restitching just the outside with a brown thread. The white really pops the few flaws. And by flaws, I mean your standards. They aren't flaws asmuch as slightly tiny inconsistencies to me.
  15. Wait, what? Leather fat? That's a new one for me, please elaborate.
  16. Well, then I say keep it for the future grandkids. They will love it.
  17. Make sure the people checking for flaws aren't in the family. Your family probably already knows what to look for. Try people at the coffee shop or whatnot. See what the general populace thinks about your work. I'm sure they will be impressed.
  18. That looks awesome. Stitches look about perfect, not to mention that burnish.
  19. I don't need this, but thanks for posting it. It looks very robust and yet, elegant at the same time. I'd not heard of these before. Thanks.
  20. No worries, now I know what to tell my local Tandy if they think about moving.
  21. While I haven't used it yet, the LED light above the work area is super bright. I have another one, but I haven't decided on final placement of it yet.
  22. I like it. The closet sticks into the room so I have a small 2 x 8 foot wall for something similar. I have lots of screws. Thanks for the info.
