  1. That is really cool. Great job.
  2. Thanks, didn't get that far. Come On?!?
  3. I had replied above. I'm in the same boat.
  4. I work for a flooring store that does granite countertops. These places have scraps running out of their ears. Anything too small to make a vanity top is what you want to asked for. There are lots of pieces left over that are 12" to 20" wide that just aren't good for anything. These width pieces are generally pretty long and would be great for a long tooling station for belts. When you go in ask about them. And be willing to offer a little money (there is literally a ton of waste in this industry). Tell them what you are using it for and you will remember them in the future for your needs at the house. Also, some granite is more dense than others. Avoid pieces with lots of veins. I like the black stuff. If you tap on it with something metal it "tink" like a porcelain plate. That is the dense stuff. If it thuds, move along.
  5. Oops, my bad. They are a custom stamp maker. Forgive my ignorance.
  6. Since you're in Taiwan.... You should check out hexnhit stamps. You may be able to get a super deal locally. Welcome aboard.
  7. If you can show some pics of the bags you want to try, I'm sure we can get you headed the right way.
  8. That is a tremendous start. Good on ya for jumping in the deep end with the contrasting thread. I wouldn't worry a bit about those metal stamps. They should do fine. The stamp doesn't know what it's hitting and the leather doesn't care what it is being hit with. They don't know any better, so carry on, ole boy.
  9. It houses that Ruger real nice. Great job. I love Rugers.
  10. Thanks for sharing the wealth. Good on ya.
  11. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing it finished.
  12. That is awesome. With a quart jar you could make the whole travel kit. Toothbrush and all.
  13. Anyone passing through the arklatex area can hit me up. I have pieces in the back yard. 3cm x different lengths and widths. Just let me know.
  14. Look on tannery Row's website. That is the horween retail site. It doesn't show prices, even if you join, but it will give you an idea of some different leathers and uses. That olive nubuck I have is from SB Boot. So, it's obviously boot leather. I would think anything used for boots would be good for bags.
  15. That is a fine looking wallet. I would be proud to make one that nice. And the leather is gorgeous.
  16. No worries. And lots of people use tooling for messenger bags. But the usually aren't turned bags.
  17. You don't have to go full on tooling leather for your bags. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking veg tan means tooling leather (in the beginning). There are other veg tan leathers out there. Have a look at @nstarleather in our for sale section. He has some great horween leathers that he is passing down to us at great prices. These would be great for your duffles. He also has some sweet nubuck in olive that would make a great bag. It's about 5oz and has a medium temper. I think that one was only 2 bucks a foot if I remember right. And he mentioned just the other day about still having a lot left. Good luck , buddy. PS. This photo had the suede side of that leather showing around the body of the growler.
  18. Can we see a recent picture?
  19. Ok, so for consumption then. I would make a ¼ or ½ lid with snaps across part of the top of the sleeve. And then of course a bottom and possibly a handle.
  20. Is this a drinking Mason jar or a storage mason jar?
  21. I'm torn between walnut and chocolate for my favorite color. Those all look great.
  22. Just for consideration, the retailers have confirmed that the cb341 will run the 207 with no issues. I had asked Alexander (solar machines) in another thread and Cowboy Bob or Ryan Neel replied. Can't remember which.
  23. Fantastic holster, Dwight.
  24. Sweet. Can I interest you in a birthdate or a valid license number?
  25. That is a brutal looking rig. I remember when that rifle was released, they had it in .357 in the catalog. I was chomping at the bit for one. Sadly though, it never got produced in .357.
