Hello All........I have a bobbin winder question.........I have a Cowboy 3200, and with it came a cheap bobbin winder that sits on the side.....I have adjusted it to ad nauseam......here is my problem, or maybe this is just what it is..... I believe it is correctly threaded (through the hole, around the disc, over the "field goal post", and onto the bobbin).....when I begin the winding, the first three or four "winds" go perfectly. Then, the thread gets stuck in a corner and I have to move it manually with my finger to move it along. From that point forward, I need to watch the corner carefully, and it never continues to wind perfectly. Am I doing something wrong here? This can't be rocket science..... * are there better ones on the market? I have seen some of you have made your own winder......does they work any better? I see that they are just a version of the bobbin winder with an external motor.......Thank you and any advise and help would be greatly appreciated............Don

Thanks........Not my first machine as I have several.......with that being said, it would be my first experience with setting up a machine head to a full working table mounted machine......My route might be to find a inexpensive, used total set-up that has a machine head that I don't use, but a servo motor and trade it out......anyway, thank you.....I was just checking to see if it even is a possibility.....Don

Just out of curiosity, what would be involved with getting a table, motor etc. set up with this machine.......if one was to just buy the head........thanks..........Don

Would Like Some Critiquing Please
dfrensdorff replied to Themasonstouch's topic in Floral and Sheridan Carving
I second the advise from Bob.......casing is one of the most important steps, if not the most important, when stamping leather......dyeing, oiling, etc all fall into place if the stamping is executed with properly cased leather. -
I also have the 3200 and when I do backstitch, I get a "birdsnest" as well....sometimes a nicer looking one than other times........I too have begun to leave thread long enough and saddle stitching 3-4 stitches back....I have spoken to Ryan Neel and he has suggested that you need to make sure to have the needle down in the magterial before reversing......The top always looks acceptable, but the underside is less than acceptable for me......I will continue to practice with it to see if I can find the magic formula.............Don
