  3. thanks mike!!...ya thats how i finished this one was just with the aussie...i haven't used resolene yet and the bottle just sits there...and was thinkin about trying it on something...but i guess it will continue to sit for a while more lol
  4. whoohoo my 3rd completed piece lol...i think i'm averagin one thing a month hehe...i'm slow but deliberate=0)...anyways, heres a prototype of a sheath i'm making for a customer...but this will be remade with some minor design changes...also this one is lined as well...why yes he wanted black because it matches his other gear...and it was a vinagroon dip... and a question while i'm at it...if one was to use resolene for finish...what do you do before puttin on the resolene as far as prep?? as always any critiques are more than welcome darryl p.s thanks dave!!
  5. hey tom...good stuff man!!...ya answered one of my questions i was gonna ask ya after seein the one ya did for pog...heres a question i have...when your looking at the pattern...on the bottom left of the pic...whats the reason/purpose for that indented area?? darryl

  11. the camera is really nothin special but seems to take decent pics...its a nikon coolpics L18...just got it today and took a few shots to try it out...much better than the other crapper i was using that was like circa 1920 lol enjoy darryl
  12. thanks spider & nick...yes functional is a good thing...for one i hopefully won't lose the damn thing and second...its accessable when i need it & not fumbling through pockets etc...i almost always fish with neoprene chestwaders...and only so much room in the chest pocket on those...and i don't wear the vests cuz i wade out fairly deep at times where the vest would be in the water...no good lol darryl
  13. appreciate it storm...ya i bet i'll have the nicest looking needle nose plyer holder on the lake hehe...may be a bit of overkill for what it is...i dunno...but its practice and every lil bit adds something for me...my lace holes this time around are much cleaner and sized proper i believe vs the eyeglass case i did... thanks wildrose...if i bend that far over in the lake i'd better have a snorkel on lol... darryl p.s can anyone tell me if i laced this on the wrong side??...i'm not sure honestly...the book said start from the front so i did...and when lacing i'm putting the lace through the front hole through the back...than bringing it over on top and under the lace, making the braid then passing it through...front to back again etc...is this right??...when i started the braid...the bit of extra would have been sticking out the front initially... just seems the braids are more towards the back of the case and less of a distance/length going from the braid to the hole compared to the front?? any help would be greatly appreciated... darryl
  14. heres a needlenose holder to wear around my neck when i'm out fishin with the chest waders on...i was out fishin last weekend and my other one just like it fell out my chest pocket on the waders and is now sittin on the bottom of the lake...pissed me off cuz its a fairly expensive one ...but hey i did catch 3 pike, 4 largemouth & 2 whitebass that we call stripers its simple all the way around but there is alot of new things for me within this i got to do...its amazing how much of a mess i can make even doing the simplest of projects... i'll list all the first timers... 1 basketweave 2 clamshell border 3 the other stamp on the strap 4 using this edgebraid on something 5 making a pattern from scratch out of my skull as always you see anything that needs critiquing...suggestion are always welcome =0) darryl
  15. the whole thing is crazy cool hammer darryl
  16. very nice job on those roger!!...i look at things this way with products and price...some folk are just fine with a toyota corolla...but there are always those that want the lexus...if its a quality product and made well etc...there a market regardless what price range it may falls into...just my rational with it... its funny cuz i was at fleet farm today...and came across the sissy bar bags like that...garbage man...pure garbage...the crap didn't even feel like leather on the outside...like poly coatin or something...the leather, buckles and stitching etc...pure crapola...simply can't compare to the real handmade deal...i think the comparison would be a rust bucket with mismatched tires vs a lexus lol darryl

  18. i agree with ya storm, i really dig the horse, hes unique and gots style etc...cuz A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And no one can talk to a horse of course That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed. Go right to the source and ask the horse He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse. He's always on a steady course. Talk to Mister Ed. People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse. You never heard of a talking horse? Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed." darryl
