  1. It's a model 226R,setting the way it is you can't sew on it so it might need some adjustment or parts. You will need a table, motor, thread stand, bobbin winder & light,& a drip pan.It will add up w/shpg alittle under $300.00,unless you can search around & find a used one.
  2. This is a very easy adjustment. You need a 10mm wrench & a 2.5 mm allen wrench, take the 10mm & loosen the nut in the pic, take the 2.5 m & put inside the nut on the allen bolt & turn it alittle clockwise & check the tightness of the stitch length handle & when you get it where it doesn't move up& down by itself tighten the 10mm.
  3. I was going by a machine we had on the shelf.
  4. If your machine was a double needle you would have 2-posts(with the tension discs),one on the right & one on the left,on single needles it's on the left & yours is on the right. It really doesn't matter as long as it's working, which it will but I was just letting you know.
  5. Yes,it original both the single & double needles use the same back plate but the tension post on a single needle is usually on the leftside.
  6. You mainly need to lube the thread For 3 reasons I can think of is when your sewing real fast,it helps cool the needle so you don't burn the thread,#2 if your sewing dry & or old leather & #3 is when the leather is real thick or if your thickness close to the max for your machine it prevents skipped stitches.
  7. Yes,Joe is still servicing machines,I meant blow air in the needle screw hole. The soldering gun might help too.
  8. Blow some air in the top hole sometimes gets them out.
  9. I just sold a CB4500 yesterday to a customer that bought a 3200 a year or so ago & he got into heavier sewing than what the CB3200 could handle & he wants to sell it,He's in VA by DC.If your interested give me a call or message me for his ph#,I don't want to post it here.
  10. Ok,I just got back from Weavers & bought 32 machines! But I'll be in tomorrow.
  11. Nice looking machine you have there, you have something to be proud of.
  12. Hey Jeff, Thanks for the kind words, glad you got it so quick. We do as hard as we try not to make a mistake once in a while like anyone can BUT we work on them & TRY not to do it again. Thanks, for your order. Bob
  13. Oh,one thing about the 1000h is they only come in a round point, the 331LR only comes in a twisted leather point.
  14. I'm not @ the shop & can back to you tomorrow w/a measurement since we have them in stock. If I remember correctly they are 3&1/4" long.
  15. That's what happens when you make something you noticed all the little mistakes.I had to go back & look @ it again to notice it.LOL!
  16. Hey Gary,Great looking job there.
  17. It's a Rex 26-188 a copy of the Singer 16-188 on the Rex has reverse.Yes it's good for upholstery, canvas & thin leather. Most parts & feet are still available for it.I guess the price $3-450.00 BUT you'll probably have to buy a servo motor so you can control the speed approx $135.00
  18. Your Welcome.Glad to know you got it fixed.
  19. Look for this screw behind the back cover & tighten it just alittle.
  20. Ok,so the only cam to adjust for the hook is the one on the left that takes a 6mm.IF it isn't correct you turn it one way & will notice it'll get closer or further away from the way it's supposed to be.
  21. I hope you can understand this,i'll try to explain this the best I can.The cam on the top shaft for the shuttle timing needs to be adjusted so that when you turn the machine & the needle bar is all the way down the shuttle is all the way back & coming forward just as the needle bar is coming up.Now when you do this you need to run the needle bar all the way down & watch it come up & then turn it backwards so that when the needle bar is all the way down & you turn the handwheel 2" either way it stars to come forward a the same position when the bar is all the way down.It helps to put the stitch length on 0.
  22. Welcome to the site & don't forget to post some pics.
