  1. they are metric. I am thinking 8 mm standard thread pitch for 8mm. need to be 1"/25mm long glenn
  2. I would take the 1245 regardless. Bigger bobbin, higher lift, bobbin winder on front of machine, newer machine. glenn
  3. Pfaff is 2.0mm to 2.2mm if I remember correctly. depends on subclass glenn
  4. it looks a lot like a 211 singer!
  5. There us no way I would hand sew welts and soles on shoes. I build goalie pads. I have hand sewn a lot of them up by hand in 40 plus years. I also have an Adler 205-370 to sewn them up the sides on a machine. Machine sewn pads are superior because they maintain that constant same tension on the thread. Shoes are harder to do. A Mckay insole machine and Rapid E or Landis 12 curved needle will do a superior job and do it a lot faster on the welt and soles. Just my opinion but also speaking from experience. A shoe finisher will also make finishing the shoes and boot easier. glenn
  6. Play in the needlebar. how it stitches. glenn
  7. thanks for the heads up Wiz! glenn
  8. Yeah, but the Pfaff will sew smoother and better. glenn
  9. Contact Allen at Weaver Leather in Ohio. He is in on Monday and Tuesday. They carry parts for the 267 Adler. Should be the same number. glenn
  10. Bobbins should never be filled over about 85%. A totally filled bobbin will cause problems. glenn
  11. thanks Wiz. I was looking for the 1425 manual. I found it. glenn
  12. Looking for a mechanics manual for a Pfaff 1425. Anybody got a copy or can download and send to me. glenn
  13. Contact Eli at Landis Sales in Arthur, IL. He is the expert on that machine. glenn
  14. Great. Glad I could help. glenn
  15. Depends on the parts. A lot have been discontinued. glenn
  16. That is the one I have I believe. glenn
  17. First generation servo motor. Might be a Consew. They were all alike in that first generation series.
  18. Go to Sew24blogspot which is a site Durkopp/Adler has for older machines. Down load the parts list for the 67 class. I assume looking at the part you have a 67-373? Durkopp Adler in Germany may have the part. It is part #067-00-170-0. good luck. glenn
  19. There is a sewing machine dealer in Denver who I believe bought all the industrial sewing machine parts from Singer when they got out of the industrial parts business. I think it is Ralph's Industrial Sewing. Contact them via email and see if they have the part. Hope that helps. glenn
  20. You should be looking for part #33513. It replaced part #33512. Singer quit using that part because the screw would not hold tight to the shuttle carrier shaft. They would come loose over time. part #33513 uses a single set screw that goes into the shaft of the shuttle carrier. glenn
  21. The 69-73E does not have 4 motion drop feed. Rather it is skip feed that they use in binding. It still should make a 4.5-5.mm max. stitch length. Is the fed dog coming anywhere close to end of the the feed dog slot in both back and front of the needle plate? give us a short video or pics please. glenn
  22. Adler should have a mechanics manual for that machine. See if you can get one. The movable knife in the Adler 291/295 series is the one they copied when they designed the current M series that is the 867, 868, 869 machines. It is different than the one in the 467/767 machines. I could help you there. You should have parts list, operations manual and mechanics manual for that machine. it tells yo how to adjust and replace the trimming knife. glenn
  23. Cutting knife might be dull and have to be replaced. Usually it is the fixed knife. You need to get manuals on the motor. It will have the perimeters which tells you how to reactivate the buttons You can also contact Efka America in Georgia and ask to speak to Mike. He is the expert on these motors. Have the model number of the control box, motor when you call him. He has helped me in the past. glenn
  24. the 135 x 17 or 16 for leather is the same specs as a 332 needle system or 29x3, 4. More common and comes in titanium coating. send me an email and i can send you pics. glenn
  25. To all the members, I just saw a video on the new Consew 2206-14-7 sewing machine . It looks like a new machine based off the Consew 206. This one has direct drive with functions, 8mm max stitch length and get this, 14" of work space. I have seen them for sale from $1799.00 to $1995.00. Looks like a winner.
