  1. That looks awesome. I'd love to see more pictures. Great job!
  2. Very cool holster! I have a love hate relationship with tri-weave stamps - love the look, hate trying to keep the damn thing lined up. Your stamping looks great. I love the classic style holster with that futuristic Ruger. Almost looks Steampunk. Good work.
  3. Thank you. I have really been trying to improve my edges. This forum has made me very conscious of my edges. I used to think my edges were ok, but after seeing what some of the experts here are capable of producing I have a real inferiority complex about them.
  4. Just completed a sheath for a friend. Overall I am pretty happy with it. I would appreciate any feedback on it. There are a couple of things I'd like to have done differently. Only the second time I've used Mop n Glo, have to say I am happy with the finish. Wish I had known about it before buying a quart of Resolene.
  5. Wow! Those are awesome. The collar with the truck makes me wish I had a dog.
  6. I have 5 knives, 4 of which were given to me. The only one I purcased is Tandy's Stohlman Pro knife. I use the Stohlman with a 3/8 blade 90 percent of the time, and an old unmarked inexpensive but smooth knife with a 1/4 inch blade for really fine work. I think Sanch's advice about one good knife and a couple good blades is right on.
  7. Man, that's beutifull.
  8. I like it! I am in agreement with Jeff about the ability to pull the mag with the hand holding my pistol, but I know a couple of guys who like that style. I think your execution was first rate. Good looking rig.
  9. That's really nice. I love the color combinations.
  10. In my experience that distance splattered dye travels is proportional to how much you like the shirt you're wearing. I'll bet I'm not the only one here who has converted a favorite shirt to a work shirt. Seriously, I really like the look you obtained by combining the splattered cover with the elegant interior. Really nice work.
  11. Sorry, wasn't paying attention to who posted what. My Mom taught me better manners! Thanks for the info - I really like the look of those wallets - all of them, including Matt's. Now, back to Matt

I like it. I don't think I have enough patience to do that much braiding.
  13. Love the hunters wallets. Great dye work. How did you do the art work? I have a guy at work who wants a bunch of shotgun slings with ducks on them, I was planning to carve them, but I really like the look you got.
  14. I love it! I'm still working on my coloring, so no advice on that, but I can't wait to see the final product.
  15. I I second that about being prepared for more orders. Your work on this is outstanding.
  16. Thank you. I have been holding on to that piece of ostrich for more than a year trying to figure out what to do with it. Now I have a new problem. Today I received a really pretty piece of frog skin and two pieces of fish skin (one kind of pretty, the other just weird) from SLC. What to make?
  17. Beutiful work. You're pretty darn good at "fitting stamps together". Really inspired combinations and outstanding execution.
  18. Wow, that looks great! Fantastic looking work. I have seen some great looking stuff on this sight finished finished with Mop and Glo, I bought sone a few weeks ago, but have been reluctant to try it on anything. Guess I'll take the plunge on my next project.
  19. Thanks for sharing! That is a beutiful finish!
  20. She is not the only with a life long memory. It was a very special time. She seemed to enjoy it almost as much as I did. I think I know who will get my tools when I no longer need them. her younger sister and I have fiddled around a bit in the shop, but she doesn't seem to be into the craft at all, just enjoys the time spent together. The older one really focused on trying to improve on each piece she worked on. It was a great experience for both of us.
  21. This afternoon I spent a couple hours in the shop with my nine year old granddaughter. She wanted to make something for a school project. She did most of the stamping and all of the coloring. Had a ball. Also taught her to appreciate the music of The Who. Great way to spend an afternoon.
