  1. Once again, beautiful work!
  2. Looks very nice. Would love to see pictures of the interior.
  3. Not much to add except to say that I have found that the wooden handled swabs like you see in your doctor's office work great for edge dying. They hold just the right amount of dye for me, are easy to control, and are relatively inexpensive.
  4. Reminds me of photos I've seen of Pictish stone carvings. Cool the some images seem to cross cultural lines. Mostly though, I am very impressed by the quality of your work. Very nice.
  5. That's how I do my edges, I use dye on the sanded edge, then burnish, then seal with gum trag and burnish again. I am happy with my results with this process.
  6. Good job! I have been kicking around the idea of making a conceal carry purse for my wife. My problem is that she wants to be able to carry the kitchen sink in her purse. It will take a couple of full hides and miles of thread to build a bag big enough for her - then she will complain about the weight.
  7. Very nice. Love that symbol, is it Pictish?
  8. Very impressive. Looking forward to seeing this as it progresses.
  9. Thanks for clearing that up. Interesting factoids. That is a very nice buckle set. I learn something new on this forum nearly every time I open this website.
  10. Glad to hear about the LC9 - I need a pancake for mine. Back to the original post - that is a great looking holster. Love the white stitching on the black.
  11. WOW!
  12. This is the app I use on my antique S3. Simple to use, which is important to technologically challenged geezers like me.
  13. Nice job. I particularly like your decorative cuts. That is something I really struggle with.
  14. As much as I love the pattern and your tooling, I have to say that I don't think this belt is a true ranger. Don't ranger belts have narrow billets for the buckle and tip over a wider strap? I think this beauty would be considered a tapered belt. Maybe I am just picking nits. I still absolutely love your work. It is more organic than traditional western style. Very cool.
  15. Another fine piece. Your work has a unique look that I really like. Great job!
  16. I really like that. The look is clean and simple, but shows a great mastery of technique. Nice work.
  17. Wow! Sanch you do really nice work.
  18. If I send you a dollar can I get ten of them? Seriously, that is some very impressive work. Interesting tradition too. My dad gave ne several knives when I was young, and we had a rather strained relationship when I was a teenager. Hmmm...
  19. I like that look! About the contact cement issue - I have better luck with rubber cement. If you get a little too much and the squeeze out shows up clean up is accomplished very easily. At worst a pencil eraser will remove any excess. I have only used contact cement a few times, and understand that it may be superior in some applications, but rubber cement has worked very well 99% of the time.
  20. Might of been playing, but I like that description. I think I'll use that.
  21. It does look kind of "rosewoodish". Fiebing's pro red with Fiebing's black antique gel over it. I didn't want that bright red, looking for a little more subdued color.
  22. Very nice job. Good tip on the lettering.
  23. As promised, here are the back and edges.
  24. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Sanch, "stack of pancakes", that's funny! I did groove the front side, but I kept the groove pretty shallow. If you look closely at the left slot there is a goof with the groover, it didn't show up well in the picture. I will get pictures of the back and edges when I am more awake.
