Get a small block of wood to line your letter stamps against you can draw lines on it to get the correct spacing as well and trust your backstitch without the glue. A really nice project I like your drawing style and tooling.

I've used a couple of his also. The lesson i got out of my mistakes is to make a pattern from heavy weight card stock type paper then i can wrap it and test the fit before cutting leather.
maybe he used his magic wand for a pattern.
Speaking of invisible what's with camouflaged flashlights? IF its dark you cant see them anyway and if they are turned on the camo wont do much good lol.

most folks hunting coyotes set up an ambush and call em in. their gun is drawn a long time before the critter ever gets there. That is a nice rig by any standard and it looks like he could carry it cross draw also which would make it super easy to draw.. I woulda had it under that slicker.
