cut a piece of cardstock what ever width you want then simply use it to draw or scribe your diamonds or squares at any angle you wish. you can draw then on the pattern or scribe them directly on the leather. takes no math if you don't want or you can use a protractor to get a precise angle.

There's about five things in that amazon set you will use for any length of time, most of it is pretty low rate tools, we used to call that stuff junk. If you have the money buy the kit Bruce Johnson linked at least you can sell it if you don't like leather work.

i make my patterns out of card stock or some such heavy paper, old clothes boxes from xmas, lol.

leather, eyelets, black dye wrap a piece of card stock around your wrist measure and cut it out to the shape you like transfer to leather cut it out, punch and install eyelets and finish with nfo oil and dye. I would also burnish the edges or possibly lace them.

Well someone had it out for the Texas roadhouse. we ordered a meal and it was literally served to us one dish at a time, I mean I got part of my meal then my daughter got a bit of hers then I got some more of mine finally my daughter got her main then mine then as I had already finished my steak my fries managed to get there just in time for me to ask for a take home box. All delivered by about four different people without comment our waitress finally brought the bill and she knew we weren't happy she just set it down and left too. All this before the dinner rush so only about half the place was full i looked around and everyone was being served this way and not happy. I guess every employee there was pissed at the boss. Managers don't care much either in these corporate businesses, its all about building a resume and moving on.

Are any? Professionalism and quality seems to have been lost in most businesses and products I've been to or bought lately. Couldn't even get a decent sit down meal the other day.

my closest one here in Wyoming is over two hours away and two mountain ranges lol. During the 6 months of winter and with the traffic on the interstate during the bad weather make it to dangerous and sometimes even impossible to get to. I buy my liquids in the summer and hope I have enough so they don't freeze in shipping during the winter. I get to buy in person maybe once a year if I'm lucky.

dogs have been chewing up and eating leather as long as leather has been made. once in a while I'm sure it doesn't go well. kind of like the person that chokes on a piece of chicken and dies, one in a million. Now man made stuff like Kgg is talking is a different story altogether I had a black lab that couldn't pass a bunch of foam from a seat cushion she ate and needed help, she about died. i have four dogs none eat leather one used to bite the leashes in half to get loose, they all eat wood and will shred 4" logs just from nervous energy. except for my Beagle she shreds small sticks lol. One thing i have learned from my wood chewers is carrots will suffice for the nervous habit and is very safe for them to chew up. My dogs love carrots lol go through a bag a week. I love dogs!

It amazes me in a sad way, there were shoe repair shops in every town when I was a young man. now its almost a lost art in less than one lifetime.
