  1. have you ever had bread on a stick? hobo bread some call it. Make your dough roll it into a long piece about afoot long by about an inch round wrap it around a nice willow stick and roast it like a marshmallow over an open fire. My dad used to make biscuits, bread rolls not cookies, on his barrel stove . he would cut 1 inch off the bottom off of several beer cans, set them on the stove, place his biscuit pan on top of them so it wasn't setting directly on the stove top them he would cover them in a dish pan and bake them up. damn fine with some hot country gravy, fried eggs and bacon.
  2. cool idea with the stamps if you meant I backed out I sent a pm to you.
  3. this one is my favorite it hangs above my table and i look at every day. There is so much inspiration in it.
  4. I've never seen a pizza oven bbq but i have cooked pizza on my bbq, bread on an open fire in Dutch ovens and on a wood fired fire barrel stove with just a dish pan for the oven. its all pretty much the same get it hot first then put in the bread. My bbq has a deep fire box and is adjustable so i can raise or lower the coals. When baking i drop the coals as far down as possible so only the hot air bakes the bread. BBQ baked pizza is the awesomest pizza ever my son says. I do too. the added smoke flavor is just amazing.
  5. I don't know much about the rest of the world but folks are like this everyday where i live but yes it is an awesome forum and why I stick around.

  7. Is it where your tooling burnishes the leather? tool a piece of scrap or really give it a good burnishing then see how your process reacts? This is what my wife would say, lol, have you followed the directions for the paint?https://help.angelusdirect.com/en-US/quick-guide-for-using-angelus-paint-109896 Merry Christmas

  11. you can do a rolled handle with any weight leather but the diameter will be different. al stohlmans book "The art of making leather cases vol 2", has about 20 different ways to make a rolled handle. I saw anything from 2oz to 6/7oz in some of his handles didn't look at all of them. You should be good to go with what you have.
  12. you can plainly see where saddleback video cut the corners and reglued them to form the edges all the rest of form is pretty much like Fred said how ever you cant clamp it down cut out the pattern hand form it around your fake phone cut the corners and form them then glue after drying and finish.

  16. he is very healthy lol, he is what you would call a deterrent, he keeps my family safe and me from possibly having to use a firearm. I live in a penitentiary town as well as having worked there so i tend to be more careful of safety of my home. My green grass is dead for the year but it will be back lol and that is my neighbors Old Ford, those old high boys are sweet aren't they? I had one years ago.
  17. i am pretty sure there is a pattern in one of AL stohlmans books i will look.
  18. you can never have enough tools.
  19. I didn't say that I said this. "neither one of you would have a dog of your choice if it wasn't for breeders. you seem to love to complain" The difference between natural adaptation and breeding is what happens to the deformities, in the wild they die. If your breeder told you he killed the bad pups in a litter because they weren't perfect how would you react? That is how they did it back then!!! Its human nature to save babies no matter how dysfunctional they are and why deformities exist in the breeding world but not in the wild. Genetics in dogs is fascinating but still humans cant master it. This is my boy a year or so ago, Curgans Gentle Ben II is his real name he has a seven generation UKC pedigree. plus he has been dna tested we get notices when he gets a new brother , sister or cousin. 125 lbs. of pure muscle, 22" neck. Stacks pretty nice for never being trained.
  20. what a cutie she is I'll bet she is a big bunch of happy energy.
  21. I'm glad to see your still around I was wondering about you. beautiful work as always!!
  22. neither one of you would have a dog of your choice if it wasn't for breeders. you seem to love to complain. The pups are American bullies and a Beagle mix we rescued form the kennel
  23. Have you ever noticed their trainers? lol most cant keep up on a good day. Showing dogs is pretty much just an ego trip imo, folks buying dogs, training them then taking credit when they win but when they lose its the breeders fault.
