  1. Thanks man, I hand form them. I was thinking seriously about a vac bag but these little square guns don't have much form to form lol. i may buy one in the future i have a vac pump i use for wood stabilizer.
  2. thanks
  3. Your not silly because you haven't "smeared" floor sealer on leather, your silly because you don't know shit about it but you blew it off. I used silly as way to be nice, because i wanted to say your really ignorant about acrylics in general not just leather sealers and your showing your ignorance to everyone here. I really don't give a crap what you smear on your leather. I also said don't waste peoples time, if you don't want a answer don't ask a question, search the forum most of us trying to make a living too.
  4. the only dif between my last one and this one is 1/4" on the stitch line lol and the side its carried on.
  5. You know folks on the forum here don't sit around wasting their day trying to answer questions just so they can mislead people. You asked the question and that man with much more knowledge and experience tried to help you. What's really silly on your part is you've never used it, never even heard of it being used but you have a negative opinion based on ???? Any acrylic sealer will crack if used improperly and as well most of us sell pieces, your not different by any means nor will your products be, but your right you can use anything you want its your money friend or your customers more likely, you can charge more for your work to cover the cost of buying at a hobby shop.
  6. thanks I love that shoulder harness its comfortable. I can wear it all day with my Anaconda or my 1911 so this little thing wont even be noticeable lol. I checked out all of the compacts before buying this one and I couldn't see anything that would make me want to spend a hundred or two more on one. Even hickock 45 likes them lol.
  7. take the seat apart and use it for the pattern.
  8. thank you.
  9. The mop and glo solution he suggested is used by tons of folks nowadays you really must have been gone a while. Its an acrylic sealer just as most of the modern "leather " sealers and works the same. But you can pay more at the leather store if you feel the name on the bottle changes its properties. good luck.
  10. that is some cool cool work!!
  11. thank you.
  12. if you use a speedy stich remember to set the knot inside the leather like a sewing machine does. it will look a bit better.
  13. yea that's really cool a lot of work cutting strap.
  14. interesting indeed, i may have to try that for in town trips and such. This setup works for my Anaconda and 1911 as well as any of my holsters made in this pattern. I use it mostly for the boonies so it needs some extra strap to keep it from floppin if I don't have a coat on.
  15. Thanks guys.
  16. that is nice and the pattern is well adaptable to other goodies as well.
  17. No your Fergy , grumpy retired and sleepy, dopey and bashful didn't put in for the job so docs cousin edgy got it. But back on topic I've not heard of doing that with a laser nor was I able to find anything on the subject. His second question "Does anyone know how to do this?" and the pictures are what i was referring to.
  18. Thanks Frodo it works well with my shoulder rig also. Stained shirt not sweat lol I quit sweating when I retired.
  19. it looks great, letters are the hardest to do imo.
  20. I haven't got a piece this nice in years. the flesh side is some of the best i have seen as well, the knap is like felt so soft and smooth but tight , it has an awesome suede feel to it. I've been saving this piece for years. I left the back untouched I don't want ruin it lol.
  21. thanks i will keep an eye on that. my son picked up a 43x (sweet gun) last week also so I'll be making a holster for that next.
  22. thanks !! I'm weird the only thing i do left handed is shoot, I'm left eye dominant but I guess that doesn't matter for most other things. I'm liking this little gun . The magazine button can be switched to lefty which is nice and so far not a hiccup it seems to be a Glock clone for the most part.
  23. gorgeous!!!! no wonder my bro heads that way every fall.
  24. Built a holster for my new toy. 9/10 oz w&c very old btw at least 20 years old it is the last piece i had big enough to do anything with and that why it stained so dark it already had a nice patina going lol. Bison brown I mm tiger thread. Feibings golden mink oil for the liquor.
  25. The wife made a bird bath out of a Childs wading pool, its about 4' diameter we had to put large flat rocks in it so the small birds can get in without drowning. They need a good solid surface all the way into the water and a perch or flat area they can land on so they can walk around in the water and out and grasp it with their feet if they fall in. They love to bathe and are a hoot to watch frolicking in the water. Birds of all sizes and shapes use it now as well as being a watering hole for the neighborhood Deer.
